I might try to isolate/disable the broken? element (showing resistance 3230) on the original PTC heater and see if that helps it kick back on. But we'll see how motivated I am to get back under the car and do the removal process again
Put the used one in and redeployed firmware. Ive got heat!👍
Just for fun, the faulty ptc heater I removed has resistance values : 1050, 987, 1008, 3230, 1083, and 934.
So i ordered a used ptc from ebay and haven't installed yet. I wanted to check resistance first and here are the values I'm getting:
1960, 1467, 1690, 873, 885, 728
I don't know what to do with these so i guess I'll install and see if it works as is
I'm going to be attempting this soon as the ptc heater just died on my 2019sr+. Do you measure resistance across those two posts circled in post #35? Or do you measure somewhere else?
Are yall able to connect to the boost modules wifi AP through your car? I am able to connect via my phone, but the car gives an error "unable to obtain IP address"
Just wondering if this is normal because I don't see anything in the manual saying so
Hi folks, question about the tweeters. I'm on the middle of this upgrade, tapped the ICE computer for all connections so I'm using the front mid-range speakers for the tweeters. I want to wire up both the door and A pillar tweeters. Should I do these in series or parallel?
I tried scheduling last month without success too, vin 07XXX (04/19, SR+ w/FSD). Havent needed to take it to the shop for anything up to this point, so I'll probably try again in Feb and see if I get lucky
Order #1746
FYI - I also replied to the thread for the original group buy over at teslaownersonline but it might make sense to start another new one over there too
Just FYI, this has been available for a few weeks on Alibaba for $400, but it's nice to know you'll have support from teslaoffer it you order through them.
Wholesale electric power tailgate /automatic frunk lift for Tesla Model-3 From m.alibaba.com
Check the fuse at the 12v line under the panels at the drivers seat (or at the 12v battery if you installed it that way). I had a blown fuse at one point during my install and needed to go buy some extras.
There are instructions included with the kit, there's also a YouTube install video for the teslaoffer kit (which is likely very similar to this autoease kit). I've also heard that evtuning may be developing their own install instructions
I think he was talking about closing via the original trunk release button, which would be awkward and why they include an additional button to install on the trunk trim piece
Just as an update, mobile service came out and replaced the broken clips. However, they didn't come with the screw or screw cover, so it's a good thing I saved the broken hardware and could use screw/cover from them. I had also asked that they order an extra replacement to leave with me in case...
interesting...like another already pointed out - the pictures line up with the teslaoffer kit, but not having the foot sensor lines up with the autoease kit (at least on their che1.com site: Power operated tailgate lift assisting system TL105 – Autoease, I don't know if they also run...
I'd be interested if the foot sensor is included or available!
Is this the kit from Teslaoffer or autoease? It looks like the one from teslaoffer but perhaps they're all the same?
This is the only problem I'm having with marcone/teslausb - the drive connects to my home wifi and begins archiving fine. If I don't give the pi enough time to finish archiving (drive away before it's done), the pi never stops trying to archive and remount the cam/music drives. I have to unplug...
yea, it's just a hex screw. Should take all of 3 minutes to put a new one there. Once I get mobile service on the phone I'm just going to see if they send the clips via mail instead of wasting their time driving out to do this
I scheduled service via the app and just got a text saying that mobile service would be contacting me in the next couple days.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one. Love this car, but it's crazy how flimsy this part is. Would it really have been that much more expensive to make the plastic 1mm...
For those of you using one of the teslausb forks, how long does it take the usb drive to become available when you get in the car? I've noticed that it has been taking ~1 minute for the car to mount the teslacam drive and start recording. Is that normal?
My wife got home from work and told me that she accidentally snapped the clip holding the visor in place while trying to adjust it. I asked if she pulled the visor down vs out and she showed me on the other visor that she was pulling out...only to have the other clip snap too....you can't make...
Yeah, I was trying to figure out the easiest way to tap into the puddle lights but haven't had any luck yet. It's definitely an annoyance that I've seen on the forums (thought clearly I've been actively looking for it) and feel like it's something SR/SR+ owners would pay for right alongside...
Right, that's how the footwell lights in my old car functioned. On when door opens, then fade off after door closes. I suppose the other option would be to wire it to the dome map lights to make it function more like it is designed to
