I'm trying to find a problematic imbalance and CAC amount from other posts but haven't found it simplified in that way. Are there measurements I should be looking for that indicate an impending problem? TIA for any help!
Thanks, I expect you're right. I'd ask folks what I should do in this situation but then I'd understandably get a lot more questions so to make it simple what would others do in this situation?
Do nothing? Sell before warranty expires? Pay someone to change out the battery?
My S75 has been losing range miles fairly rapidly over the last 18 months from 100% at 220 down to 194 now. This is 22% degradation from original range of 249. The car is not showing any errors.
My warranty is up in 2 months so I'm having Tesla do a battery health test in a few weeks. I...
Makes sense and I appreciate the info. It would be nice if the car could remain unlocked while "at home" even during summon. I'm typically inside my house by the time the car stops in the garage and automatically closes my garage door. So the "remain unlocked at home" feature is not helpful...
I have "leave unlocked at home" set on my S and it works fine in my driveway. However, I summon my car into my 1 car garage and the car remains locked after the summon and shutting down. Am I missing a setting, anyone else experience this?
Does Spotify provide way to speed up podcasts like the Spotify app on my phone and TuneIn in the car? I used to be able to start a podcast on TuneIn and then switch to Spotify and the playspeed would transfer. That trick seems to have been removed with the latest update. Am I missing this...
Add me to the list of those interested in the 90 350V for my RWD. I don't believe a suspension upgrade was needed in the past for 90 batteries so hoping that is the same with this one?
Not sure if true for newer cars but dumb summon (which I use multiple times each day in/out of garage) works quickly and well with fob but horribly with app. Would hate to lose the fob.
Now that the car navigation (ver 2022.16.x) includes wind readings I'm wondering if anyone has compared the car range predictions to ABRP? I've relied more on ABRP in the past because of the customization but it seems Tesla is catching up?
With a 75 battery the range predictions are very...
Yep, it is those inaccuracies that prompted my original question, I'd like to be able to trust my car as much as I trust ABRP. I have a 75 battery so not as blase about the range as many others.
Thank you, I did see that. Hopefully, someone has some real world experience fighting a strong wind. If not, I'll be able to post my findings in a few weeks.
Getting ready for a cross country drive next week and just updated to 16.1.1. It is supposed to factor wind into range estimates which has always been the weakness of the estimates IMO. Can anyone comment on improvements?
Really? This guy is trying to find out if he's doing something legal or whether he'll be out $1,000's if he goes through with it and you're asking why he checked?
My best roof facing direction is 132 degrees in Orlando - so not optimal. I think I get about 90% efficiency relative to due south? Is it worthwhile to invest in panels and powerwalls? I know that's a subjective question so interested in perspectives and experiences here.
I struggle with these comparisons given all the variables. ABRP does tell me my wh/m at 65 miles/hour and that number has drifted between 244 and 265 with most recent at 244. Wind-aided? 2016 S75 on 19"
Minor complaint perhaps but I dislike that I cannot see the seat heater setting easily. The seat heater maintains it's settings after car is turned off so it remains on when I get in the car the next morning. I only remember to turn it off when my butt gets hot.
Ha! My son was a valet at a high end hotel this summer. I can assure you there is no "interview sheet" before they are put out there driving cars. He's been in my car many times but has never driven it and had to call me after parking his first Tesla to ask how to turn it off.
And this is why the resale market for these cars in 3 years will be very challenging. First adopters who waited 3 months to a year for their cars are willing to invest the time to "learn" how to use these features that have zero immediate benefits. Car shoppers in 3 years will have great...
Simple answer is to plug your route into A Better Route Planner website or app and see the recommended charging stops and times. With your car's metrics inputted ABRP is fantastic at telling you the optimal amount of time to charge at each stop. ABRP is much better than the in car nav in my...
No taxable income event for this gentleman, unless he's in the business of buying/selling cars, but yes there will be sales tax paid on both transactions.
It works for your use case and that's good. I have to do 3 or 5 point turns twice/day to get into/out of my garage. Watching you change gears on the screen was painful.
Thanks for posting Omar, it seems you are getting more comfortable with the yoke. For me, it's a no. Even if I get comfortable after a while I won't be able to confidently loan the car to family members. Hoping a wheel with stalks is offered soon.
When I navigate to a supercharger the nav doesn't tell me how many open chargers are available however how can see how many open chargers are available at every other nearby supercharger (which I don't really care about). Is there a way to see open chargers at the destination SC?
Tesla ended up replacing the connectivity card part # 1521914-s2-b several weeks ago and I've not had a problem since. I assume this card was installed with my MCU2 upgrade but I don't know for sure. Tesla did not charge me for it.
Taking my car into service today for their 2nd effort at fixing a permanent loss of connectivity on my 30 day old MCU2 "upgrade". I also have had random reboots during driving which I never experienced in my 4 years of prior ownership with MCU1.
I'd like to provide a positive update to my issues but I can't. A ranger came out today with a new board he promptly installed before realizing it was an MCU1 board rather than MCU2. I'm now scheduled for a new MCU2 board install next week with a 2,000 mile vacation trip in between with spotty...
2016.5 MS 75 here. Got MCU2 3 weeks ago and immediately noticed spotty data connection with more frequent connection drops than I ever had before. Immediately after updating to 2021.4.15 Friday I had no data connection (grayed out bars with line through them) but was able to reconnect after...
just had both headlights replaced on my 2016.5 due to DRL brownouts. Low beams were set to cast about 10 feet in front of the car (at least that's what it seemed) making driving on a country road an exercise in futility. I adjusted them up and everything seems fine now. I wouldn't rave about...
Agreed, although it looks like quite a drop off in the green space. I'm frustrated with the bollard placement in many of SC locations though. I generally can't charge when I have my 2 bike hitch rack loaded. I realize charging cables can't be stretched, couldn't they give us another foot or...
