Reading all these posts, I have no idea how anyone can survive on $110K a year in a HCOL city in the US even assuming all debts are paid off. Looks like I have no easy way to avoid taxes even if I have enough savings to cover my expenses.
I notice that you're paying monthly for FSD. Is that correct? Is the $199 a month included in your payment? Any addons like tinting, PPF, or ceramic coating?
Let me know what shipping might be. I make it out to Irvine every couple of months so if you're willing to wait until next month, I could meet you there.
Sorry, I didn't realize that yours had FSD. You listed Capability along with Autopilot so I thought it was just the latter. Your price is competitive then.
Earnings gain in 2021 was a one-time event going from negative to $5.5B based on Model Y ramp. Going forward, that isn't going to repeat and we can see a more normal 40-50% gain annually in earnings. The $5T in Fed stimulus plus 0% interest rates for two years was also a once-in-a-lifetime...
He's not wrong though. Comparing TSLA to AAPL or SPY is not the right comparison as TSLA went up 10x while AAPL only went up 2x. Same with SPY. There is more to fall with TSLA like there was with ARKK.
There was a massive increase in fundamentals but there was an even greater increase in the SP. From bottom in March 2020 at 30 to 400 in November 2021 was more than a 10x move. Fundamentals didn't go up 10x. It was the Fed.
There's no way all 50 sold in just a few days. Either they pulled them for next quarter or will bring them back with an incentive. We will know in the first week of October.
Yeah, they're back now. Must have been a bug. With this many available right before quarter close, I expect to see a new incentive come up next week to get rid of these quickly.
Also, be aware that recent stimulus packages have increased ACA subsidies for higher-income level individuals and is set to expire unless Congress extends it with the upcoming (human) infrastructure package...
If you retire before SS age (62), does is still calculate top 35 years and does zero income from early retirement (say 52) to 62 affect the amount you receive from SS at 62?
The Treasury still has $1.5T in the TGA from the prior administration.

Appreciate the replies. The 2021 definitely has benefits with a heat pump but I'm looking at a used model with FSD.
Here are two I'm looking at:
2018 Model 3 | Tesla
2020 Model 3 | Tesla
The MR seems like a pretty good deal even compared to a 2021 SR+.
Both used and with similar miles and similar price.
Which one would you get?
I think MR has a bit better range and supercharging speed but I'm not sure what improvements they added in the 2020 models.
