I use a very low tech approach. Both of our cars add near enough to 10% charge per hour. I have the charging set to begin at 11.30pm and adjust the charging limit if needed to be certain target is reached during the lower rate period. Not elegant but it works reliably.

USA has different sales taxes based on the state in which purchased/registered so price is shown without tax. Using your £42,500 it would be £51,000 when you add 20% VAT. Still quite a bit less expensive in the USA but it was ever thus.

There's also a chance a future homeowner would assign some value to the existence of an EV charge point. Not suggesting it would fully cover the installation cost but I'd be surprised if no value was attributed to it.

Probably goes without saying but home charging will cost less than using public charging, in most cases substantially so. Per kWh (not factoring in the cost of the home charge point installation). So convenience and charging at lower prices.

Do you have any of the buttons or the knob only? Can you access the function by setting a tile in the app? I genuinely don't know as I've never seen a need to try this particular function.

I have found it good quality and useful for all sorts of small scratches and blemishes in plastic and vinyl things. It won't work miracles but may at least improve the situation. The link was to their official website but I got ours from a UK auto detailing website.

Each to their own, and you are of course correct. I like having the icon on the screen as a nice confirmation that our SSD is connected and recording.

You can also tap the Dashcam icon to manually save so not sure the camera icon adds much if in fact that's what it's for.

How does one dial TACC “back to zero”?

I never understood the circumstances under which the stop line control function would be useful in the UK and given the current FSD implementation here.

I think I'd prefer a longer daily period of covering the home usage than a shorter but more powerful blast of production. With batteries it probably makes it somewhat of a wash but I get an odd pleasure seeing our home use fully supplied by our own production.

What impact does this have on insurance cost? I would be interested in improving the suspension on our M3P but it seems any modifications result in many insurers refusing to cover or charging silly premiums.

For point of reference for others the cost for our Model Y is £2,911, so marginally higher than on a 3 it seems.

Why? Everyone who wanted was able to get the deposit back. Many have stayed the course to get one of the first when they eventually get released (if ever).
