    Model 3 paint wearing off

Unfortunately, regardless of paint quality or batch, if you encounter rocks and sand (such as non-city driving or where they add it to the roads) you will have issues along the rocker panels. The car's aerodynamics are such that the vehicle is effectively out of the way of blocking things coming...

    Model 3 paint wearing off

I think to some great extent people are being caught off guard as to how the car will perform if their local government uses rocks for ice, as an example. If people are aware that it will be an issue, then yes, they usually won't have a problem paying for PPF to cover the lower half of their...

Paint protection: PPF or Ceramic or both?

Just to add to this, I contacted a local paint shop and was quoted $11,000-ish to repair (add in some for broken items that they thought they might be able to reuse, etc). Then I need to keep it clean for 90 days so that PPF can be applied to those areas.

Paint protection: PPF or Ceramic or both?

I would add most of the lower portion of your new M3. Here is my M3 performance after one winter where the county started using rocks to help with the road ice. Tesla says it is an environmental issue. County says they don't have to pay. Insurance says it wasn't all at once so they don't have to...

Tesla cutting costs and refusing to repair paint damage

If you have any reason to come to Oregon during the winter, I would urge you to get PPF along the lower half of the body of your 3. I have a 3 Performance as well, it has a little over 12,500 miles on it and the rocks Oregon uses on the roads will damage the paint.

    PPF question

Yes, all of that damage is just rocks from this winter when the county was putting out rocks for ice. I called the Portland Oregon Tesla service center and was basically told that it is an environmental condition and therefore it has nothing to do with Tesla. How are you feeling about your...

    PPF question

If you are EVER going to be in an area that uses rocks on the roads (mostly for ice), I would strongly recommend you get at least the majority of the body done. Here is a pic of the rock chips at the rear door of my M3 (with 11,600 miles) after just one winter of rocks on the road.
