Madmax has it.no Y for me. Don't like the look of hatchbacks.

Man! That's a good point!! I think I'll pull the trigger. Anyone on here own a P and an AB, just curious how the ride differs.

Any reason not to order a model 3 at this time?

Its like getting a freaking computer,I hate it! I can't change every 2-3 years, not at 65k!

Any reason not to order a model 3 at this time?

Hi all, so I'm ordering our second model 3, this time a 2021 edition. Still deciding between performance or AB. Regardless, is there any reason to hold off at this time and maybe wait two or three months? Can't wait till end of year however. Any and all advise welcome! Thanks.

"Acceleration Boost" option, discussion as to which models and how much quicker

That's another good point. More and more in agreeing with you. I think an AB is the way I'll go.

"Acceleration Boost" option, discussion as to which models and how much quicker

Thanks Drew. Yeah I keep going back and forth on this. I'm considering the performance and then changing the tires out for 18inch ones but at the end of the day you maybe right, is it worth the headache of doing all that. Anyone that tried both cars care to comment?

"Acceleration Boost" option, discussion as to which models and how much quicker

Hey all, first of all, gotta say, awesome community! So a thanks ahead of time. I'm considering buying our second Tesla at this point, however, i am a bit pulled in multiple directions on multiple accounts. I want to get the performance, however, i am worried about the smoothness of the ride...

    Silver spring, MD tesla detailers

Hi everyone! Going to buy a new tesla 3 performance soon, but I've been told instead of having tesla color the car, go somewhere local. Any thoughts? Also I really don't want those tires and want to switch them out. Any suggestions? Perhaps a good detailer could help as well. Thanks in...

    Lane Assist Issues

Lane departure warning. Hold on a second, are you supposed to see the lanes via the "radar" or the view with your car and other cars around it?

    Lane Assist Issues

So yeah my issue continues then. Its not vibrating or anything. Think its a service issue?

    Lane Assist Issues

I did. Maybe i misunderstood how it works. Is it ONLY for autopilot? does it warn you if you're driving with no autopilot engaged? i thought it would just warn you if you drove over the line.

    Lane Assist Issues

Hi all, My wife and I just got a new Tesla Model 3, and some of you helped immensely on the decision making process. We have a blue car that is amazing so far! we are still figuring out everything about it, its almost overwhelming! One major thing we where testing yesterday that did not seem...

Buying a Tesla Model 3 AWD - advise needed

cool thanks! i'm not worried about the non-P... its a gimmick or would be one for me, until i stop using it and just start well... driving.

Buying a Tesla Model 3 AWD - advise needed

I'd have to trade in BOTH my other cars to make it worthwhile.. so almost 10k needed. Not happening.

Buying a Tesla Model 3 AWD - advise needed

I wanted to say thanks to all! I read through most of the advise, and it is super helpful. Yesterday, my wife and I pulled the trigger on the car. It's primarily her car but we'll be switching cars every week. That said, i opted for the AWD non P. Sorry P fans... i just couldn't justify it, i...

Buying a Tesla Model 3 AWD - advise needed

Thanks for the advise! A lot to take in and look at. Pretty good stuff overall too. So assuming I don't have the skill that you seem to have because well... i don't... with regards to the electric, what exactly would I tell an electrician?? I like the idea of being able to get 44miles per...

Buying a Tesla Model 3 AWD - advise needed

Thanks, not worried too much about the look. I'm generally a more practical person, kinda why i can't justify 10k for performance though it makes me sad.

Buying a Tesla Model 3 AWD - advise needed

Thanks All. So much to take in, almost overwhelming. So if i get an AWD, non-performance, should i aim for the 18inch tires or 19inch? Range is more important for me than most things. Ergo why again performance lost out, among the other reasons.

Buying a Tesla Model 3 AWD - advise needed

Will the quote on the tesla ordering page take care of that part of things as well? I'd say it isn't too far actually. The breaker box is behind the garage.

Buying a Tesla Model 3 AWD - advise needed

Well the RWD is no longer an option from what i see correct? the one they offer is lower range.

Buying a Tesla Model 3 AWD - advise needed

I'm considering requesting a quote to install a charger in my garage. Does that sound like a good idea in general? not sure if i have a 240V in the garage... doubt i do.

Thanks everyone for all the advise! the 3.2 seconds would truly only be vanity, and lets be honest, with the performance, i would be paying more for repairs etc...

Buying a Tesla Model 3 AWD - advise needed

Very good point about saving the money. This car will be both for myself and my wife, eventually i'll get one for myself fully, but for now... i think that 3.2 seconds can wait.

Buying a Tesla Model 3 AWD - advise needed

Thanks for the info. If i do get a performance, then i'd immediately get 18 inch wheels and tires, all weather. It's only the speed i want but umm... hard to justify. Besides my wife has to also drive it and frankly i worry about her driving a car that does 0-60 in 3.2 seconds.
  29. M

Buying a Tesla Model 3 AWD - advise needed

Definitely getting a long range car, and AWD... i won't do without one. 18 inch wheels for me as well.

Buying a Tesla Model 3 AWD - advise needed

Hi There! Thanks for the advise there. I am in MD, snow tires are definitely not needed. Haven't needed them on my infiniti and won't need them on the tesla I think. You're right though, if I did get the performance i'd only be getting it for the 3.2 seconds, i won't be tracking it. I'd also...

Buying a Tesla Model 3 AWD - advise needed

Hi There, Thanks for the response. I went through quite a bit in these forums, and apparently a number of people stated that performance cars where getting damage under the cars due to being lower to the ground. That they are also bumpier rides, and obviously much more expensive to replace...

Hi all! New to the forums, but love the community, so friendly. My wife and I are test driving a tesla model 3 AWD and a performance model today. Did an AWD test drive already and fell in love with the tech etc... We're close to pulling the trigger, and as much as i'd love to buy a...
