Yep, I believe they are forged. No defects that I've noticed. Spec sheet that they gave me prior to production (~32 lbs).

Alright, finally got my new forged wheels and tires installed today on my X plaid. Thanks to this thread, I was able to order the right offsets and tire sizes. Wheels are 22x10.5 +30 w/ 265/35/22 22x11.5 +30 w/ 315/30/22 No rubbing so far, the wheels sit flush with a bit of poke. Enough...

I think your theory is correct; the SSs below from Tesla's website almost confirms it. The rears look very similar to the ceramic brake upgrade option. A bit of a bummer to not have these for older refresh owners like me.

How much lower is the car with the V2 lip? It looks amazing, btw. Tempting.

Thanks. I am still on the Eibach bars, but switched the front to the softest setting, which seems like it is about 14% stiffer than stock. The rears are at full stiff. The reason for the rears is because I am still on a staggered setup with a beefy tire in the rear (285/30), so wanted to shift...

Based on some of the threads on this forum, you should be able to - with the right offset and the right camber, of course (may be some minor roll). Also, depends on how wide the tire is (tread width). MPP is running 305 square setup, so are many others that are tracking their car.

Your car looks great (I am sure the photo doesn't do it enough justice). I have seen some clean modded black model 3s like yours and they look amazing and all shiny. Makes me a bit jealous.

Hi, Great review. How are the brakes holding up now given it's been a while? How is the pedal feel after repeated aggressive stops? The OEM ones are good and great great only sometimes; consistency is lacking. I am also looking to upgrade my brakes on my X Plaid. Thanks.

This totally has been my experience as well. I love the yoke, but moving the horn to a tiny button could be fatal. I wonder what Tesla was thinking and I also wonder how much feedback they received from the beta testers. I understand that their philosophy or principle is to rethink everything...

I agree; but, for let's say a tilting screen or a bigger rear screen, I think most owners would be at peace somewhat for missing out, but something as critical as brakes, I would have hoped Tesla did a better job and homework to ensure customer satisfaction. As it is, for any spirited driving...

If the calipers are indeed "better" or "Higher thermal capability brake calipers", I hope tesla offers a way to retrofit these on earlier plaid cars. I also notice the rears seem bigger. I have a X plaid.

I went through this thread after I accidentally came across it while searching for something. I have a 22 X plaid, which likely has the same air suspension like the S. I also have a 3P; the X's suspension is certainly way more smoother than the 3P while being stiffer/firmer -- in all settings...

Figured I'd post this. I think some of the lines are more visible in white, but the red is a beautiful color. I was also a bit worried that the 20'' wheels would look small, but they are not bad. I plan on upgrading to a set of forged 22s anyway in the future. Hope this helps someone who is...

I agree with your theory; I have had the X Plaid for a month now and the brakes are the only disappointment. They seem to stop the car reasonably well, but I don't like the feel (not firm enough; some play at the start), and they also don't give me enough confidence when I am pushing it somewhat...

Picked up my Plaid last Sunday with a 4/22 build date. The car is nearly perfect (to my eye, that is); everything has been working well so far. The tracking sheet was very nice; thanks for that. Hope people on the waiting list get theirs cars soon :).
