I haven’t put my flash drive in a computer since the last few updates. But historically, the flash drive would save every trip no matter how uneventful. There were separate folders at that time for saved and recent. If that has changed that would explain why your uneventful trips have not been...
I see I have ignited the fanboys. Apparently nothing can be improved upon.
I was not complaining about the sales process. In fact if you read my post, I was praising it for its lack of haggling and sales pressure. My only point was that for non-technical people some of the details regarding...
I suppose I should apologize about the subject line. It was an attempt to be ironic. I actually did not mean that the sales person should have pressured my friend to buy those things, only that it might have been helpful to review a few things that many/some/most people find helpful. Just to...
I accompanied my friend to a Tesla service center where he ordered his Model 3 with the help of a very kind and well-informed sales person. She helped with all the documentation, drivers license image, and all of that.
What she did not do was inform him that his car would not have homelink, a...
Three things to do: use the Bluetooth menu in the car to activate sync. Use the Bluetooth setting on your phone to enable notifications, and in the Autopilot menu in your car activate the visualizations.
OK sorry. I see that question has been asked and answered. Thanks for pointing this out to me, as it is a graph that I really wanted to see.
Stats has really hidden this one.
These days when I back out of the garage, I can see that the GPS image of my car on my map does not show any movement. As a result, the mirrors do not automatically unfold and my car appears stationary for the first minute or so of driving. Anyone else noticed this? Is there anyway to encourage...
Great! That’s just about double what I was getting. Of course I started with almost 200 miles of charge, so that may account for part of it. Also it may be that the supercharger has now ramped up a bit
I have heard of this. Apparently if you navigate to a supercharger the car does prep the battery for faster/better charging. Might be a good reason to always navigate to a supercharger even if you know exactly where it is.
What time and day is best for those who would like to meet up and say hello face-to-face? I am pretty flexible that way. Morning is quite good for me, but almost anytime would work.
I can see your point. I came in with about 190 miles range to start, so I guess it is not surprising that initially I had about 64 kW and later this dropped down into the 40s as I got near to 90% charge.
No power, no activity.
I am a little concerned that when Dunkin Donuts drive through moves into the abandoned bank building the Tesla superchargers May well be iced when they get busy. The location was ideal a year ago when no one had any plans for this corner
Fred said they had to move the base for the existing light pole. That’s why it’s still empty. The landlord wouldn’t sell them a spare pole so the one they’ll put there won’t be an exact match.
Fred Was back again this morning, putting in the proprietary Tesla screws to finish up the stalls. He thought the stalls would already be up and running, but when I tried of course they were not. No one there later on my way home, so as of now no progress to report.
Yesterday the Tesla guy was going back and forth to the trunk of his Model S to grab handfuls of what looked like short cables which connected those silver boxes in the cabinets to the inside of the door. Wonder if he ran short.
There’s been lots of tree work all over the area. Probably...
The Basking Ridge supercharger should be up and running tomorrow. Tesla Power was there doing the final hookup today. Apparently they did not finish, so I expect they will be completing the work tomorrow.
I’ll go by tomorrow morning around 9:30 to check on progress. Happy to see any others who are interested. I find myself unaccountably fascinated by this process.
And the two “holes” on the front panel were not actually holes at all but two little marker darts that they put on to guide the installer where to put the sticker.
