Spotted this on my way home Sunday afternoon and thought to myself, "what are the odds of a white/white 3 porting in my area this week?....there's no way this is NOT my car!". Next day I got a text that my car was ready for pickup. Woohoo!

Congrats! Yeah, they don’t mess around with performance model. It’s the poor souls that ordered white LR’s that really felt the pain. Also doesn’t hurt that its the end of Q2 — they gotta push those deliveries thru so they can collect the cash!

My advice: Call around to other centers. Some open much earlier than others and ANY of them can help you get what youre after (some more than others). There’s nothing special about your DS.

That’s nuts. I asked to add a referral code days after the order and was initially told (over the phone) that this was impossible as “corporate was really cracking down” on adding codes after the sale. After visiting the local service center, they just typed it in — no muss, no fuss. I...

White/white 19” wheels AWD LR is en-route. I take delivery first week of June (I’m a late April order). I was able to get them to hold my trade-in value beyond the 1000mile threshold, but thats mostly because they assigned me the wrong VIN 3 times in a row. Stay strong — the cars are coming.

Hey gang! Happy to report my car is on it’s way. My case is special with the weird errors that were made so it’s possible I was bumped up in the queue. I’ll keep y'all posted on the delivery tho.

Not that I know anything about anything, but my location got a delivery of performance, then LR (none with white seats) and now this week a bunch of SR (one blue/white). Could be wrong, but logic tells me that its performance’s turn again. And still no guarantee on white interior. Not...

Couldn’t agree more. I feel like I’m pot committed at this point and folding now for a different combo would mean throwing away six draining weeks of my life. Damn you Tesla, and your stupid awesome cars! Smh

White interior is causing trouble for a lot of new orders. Gotta get lucky with inventory for now. My shop just got a dozen cars delivered at every trim and no white interior :(

Did you ever find an answer to this? Interested as Ive been assigned a Canadian VIN 3 times now (in Chicago) and DS keeps telling me there is no way I could get that car. I get that it might be far away, but as far as differences fo, I figure its a simple software update to make it “American”

You made the right call. At these price points, you should get what you want. Tesla doesn’t understand the customer satisfaction business yet.

There do seem to be a few RWDs floating around. Ive been offered one or two myself but ended up holding out for AWD — I might be crazy but I do a ton of driving in all kinds of midwest weather. Best of luck!

Similar story — made a lot of decisions based on the delivery date (finance options, outlet install, trade-in, etc — not to mention Im out $2500 in the meantime). I’m holding Tesla to the trade-in value. So far they’ve agreed to honor it. We’ll see how long that last.
