For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

    It's not a little better. It's a lot better.

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

May I remind us that the title of this thread is "AWD owners wanting a P3D". Yeah, for people who *don't already own a Model 3*, the choice is simple to get a P3D-. As I wrote many pages back, when I bought my AWD in June I had no idea about the P3D-. When I learned about them shortly after, I...

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

I'm curious, if you are passing on this, then what is your solution? Drive a slower car because you don't feel this is close to performance? What is your upgrade path to getting performance speed? Honest questions, I'm not trying to be snarky.

I bought it too -- a little hard to test because it's 34 deg F here and lightly snowing -- I went to the supercharger to warm her up. Daaaaamnnn, is she ever fast now. I agree with the term 'violent'. I don't notice a big difference on take off, but 40-70 mph it's like a rocket giving me tunnel...

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

All of the banter back and forth about 980 vs 990 motor capabilities is just over the top. Drive motor replacements cost about $3k. So Tesla, please charge me $5k to upgrade to an M3P-, $3k to swap out the current motor for a 980 and $2k for the software difference between the AWD and the M3P-...

Isn't that back to the root of the discussion? Whether there is any difference between the motor units in the P vs the AWD?

Same here. I live in an area with several feet of snow per year, and didn't want 20" rims and lower clearance. I didn't know the M3P- existed until about a month ago. I would have bought it in a heartbeat had I known. I actually looked into selling my AWD and getting an M3P- a few weeks ago --...

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

I took the Tesla factory tour in Fremont in July 2019, and during the tour on 2 separate occasions as we drove by some large bins with motor units inside, the tour guide operator told us that the Model 3 Performance and the Model S and X all get the same rear motor, while the AWD Model 3 got a...

    Free Supercharger Miles inaccurate deduction

Mine is also corrected. And even better, only charging me at 60% of the actual rate, so I should see 8,000 free miles at this rate :-)

    Free Supercharger Miles inaccurate deduction

Let me guess, your Tesla Account shows the car received 54kWh for that charge? I emailed my delivery guy who then emailed Tesla Referral Program folks. I'll update this thread when I get a response! karn101, you might want to send out the same email for your situation. Here's the email...

Thanks! Going off the kWh the vehicle received explains the rounding. And it's off by a factor of 5 on top of that. I will pass on this info to my delivery advisor who I already emailed.

    Free Supercharger Miles inaccurate deduction

I went back to the supercharger, to see if maybe it was rounding in increments of 200. The car received 18kWh this time, about 70miles of range, and it deducted another 225 miles from my balance.

    Free Supercharger Miles inaccurate deduction

Hello, I just used a supercharger for the first time after receiving my M3 yesterday. I was plugged in for about 10 min, and the car said it added 63 miles, and my Tesla account says the car received 16kWh. My "Loot Box" however now says I have 4800 free miles remaining, from the 5000 free...

Buying in Maryland next week and moving to Texas next year

Usually if you show proof that you paid sales tax to another state, you won't have to pay it again in the new state. Also, there is usually a time limit. I am a Washington resident, and if the vehicle has been registered in another state for more than 90 days, then I don't have to pay Washington...
