My model Y with a 2k vin range does not have the external speaker. I think they did not start installing the speaker until October 2020 or so. I installed the holiday update and the boom box option is not there as expected due to lack of speaker.

unfortunately I think the beta testers are there to build hype for FSD/Tesla. Historically early access has not been allowed to post anything about their testing but with FSD beta Tesla gave them the green light to post. FSD certainly does not look any where close to being able to be deployed...

It’s different than a broken window as it’s a manufacturing defect that they are proactively replacing on all affected vehicles.

Yes I bought my car before the factory hitch became an option. I used the aftermarket eco hitch option and spliced into the wires for my hitch wiring. But since I don’t have the factory hitch option then I also don’t get the tow mode setting.

plug is behind the bumper on the left side. It has a white cap on the end. I spliced into the wires. There is another thread on this site the lists which wire is which.

I tapped into the wires at the trailer plug behind the bumper. The car recognizes when a trailer is plugged in (yellow trailer icon shows up) and turn signals, brake and running lights all work. No trailer mode in the software though as expected.

I rather the blind spot detection be fully trustworthy (and I do find it very trustworthy in my experience)

Same here. Service told me it would addressed in a Software update you can tap the alert on the screen and tell it there is a child seat there. It will stop alerting then.

I just got 2020.24.6.1 and the functionality has changed for me. It still shows the roundabout sign but now there is no option to tap to proceed. I tried it on the same two roundabouts that it worked on on 24.6

Correct it will not negotiate the roundabout. It will display the sign and stop on its own unless you tap the accelerator. Previously my car would treat some roundabouts as a stop sign. Now at least it gives you the option to continue.

It now shows a rotary / round about sign and will stop unless you tap the gas or stalk to confirm it’s safe to proceed. Edit: no idea why the image is rotated. Looks fine on my phone. Can’t figure out how to yell forum software to rotate

Tesla service tells me this is a known issue and that it will be addressed in a future firmware update. On a side note there is a service bulletin for the back of the rear seats. I didn’t have any issues with that area but they ordered new parts proactively and will install them via mobile...

just the weight of the seat folded down triggers it intermittently (every few seconds). The dogs just make the warning stay on continuously.

It's Tesla. clear communication is not their thing.

this does happen from time to time. Some updates are bug fixes only and the release notes are unchanged.

2020.16 here. It shows cones knocked over if the real cones are knocked over. I think this is a new visualization. My format button is greyed out despite my dash cam working fine.

The car does not look to me to be able to see directly left or right via a camera. The wide forward is about as good as it gets for left/right and that can not look 90 degrees relative to the front of the car. is it enough to pull out at an intersection or cross street.... I don't know.

Since Tesla tends to historically way overpromise on the self driving front I would assume that we are not getting NOA on city streets. If we were they would be hyping the feature as coming soon or this year or something like that and not downplaying it.

2020.12.11 has the stop light sign feature for model Y.

I wonder if Tesla could add a feature that adjusts the power trunk opening height based on location. My Y trunk will hit my garage door so I have the height set lower than full open. Would be nice to have it open all the way up when not at home. Just an idea.
