Still no progress Jan 16, 2024. I really need this done ASAP as I drive uber and this spot for charging would be clutch. Wishful thinking it will be done by eoy 2024.

Thanks for reporting on this. Hopefully no long term issues keeping it open so we can all make plans around it.

    Supercharger- Kokomo, IN

I just called the main number: 1 (888) 518-3752. It took a little bit to get through. Called today again, still looks like it is down and they still maintain it is an utilities issue, whatever that means.

    Supercharger- Kokomo, IN

So I decided to bite the bullet and be on hold for 30 minutes, but finally got through to someone at Tesla. The site is down due to a utility paperwork issue. This is likely an oversight and they escalated the issue. Weird thing is, when you look at super chargers in the U.S., in your car, it is...

EAP to FSD - bite the bullet now or risk it?

I'm not surprised by your experience and opinion on the matter. Hopefully they will give you a refund. Tesla needs to be upfront about how far away their FSD really is from implemented. By the time they deliver what they promise They will have raised the price to over 20 grand.

Will Elon give Autopilot free for 2018 or early 2019 buyers

Then let us buy it for that 2k difference. Better yet, since acc tech was on my 2010 acura, make it default for any damn Tesla at this point.

5th Midwest Tesla Gathering -- NCM Motorsports Park Aug 3rd (Registration Closing Soon)

Saw this post about relying on 14-50's to support a day at a track and thought I'd share my experience.... Having spent a day at GingerMan Raceway, MI last summer, I found that charging at the max 12 kw or 48 amps @ 240 v, utilizing facilities Tesla wall charger, wasn't enough to keep up with...

    Supercharger - Bloomington, IN

Definitely v3. Attached is the data plate for chargers. Each post gets 250 kw. So 400v*631 a ~= 252 kw. It also appears v3 is sharing 4 posts per charger box with total of 575 kw DC output. This mean probably sharing of 575 kw per the 4 posts. So if 1,2,3 are being used by low SOC model 3's...

Poll: Is FSD Worth the Cost?

Your response is a great example of why people should wait on speculative purchases. It would be nice if Elon tweeted that all our cars will get a software/hardware update to HW4.0 that will initiating their self flying features as well :) Honestly though, when you see regulation flying onto the...

Poll: Is FSD Worth the Cost?

Tesla is innovative as hell, but that doesn't mean they've solved machine learning--camera only AI with an order of magnitude superior safety margins relative to humans yet. I'd say they are less than 10% there. I think they need to amass orders of magnitudes of data more than today before...

Poll: Is FSD Worth the Cost?

I think most who buy it probably did it for similar reasons. Sucks that you cannot use even the basic stuff in UK. I specifically bought the car without any advanced features that didn't do what their name suggests. I bought because I wanted the raw sheer performance of power train since I track...

Poll: Is FSD Worth the Cost?

If I wanted FSD, today I would need to spend $10,700 (with taxes) to get it due to buying my performance model 2 weeks too early (Mar 2019). I probably would've spent the $2,000 price bump to add AP it at the time due to base price adjustment to make AP standard, but I agree with you, now it...

Tesla Takes Tug-of-War With Ford to Twitter

Well, that actually is a bit careless, but point is, once you attach a trailer, especially run of the mill 27 foot rv trailer (big wind parachute), your range will take a dive. See this test the guys at TFL did recently with their Model X . I think they were trying to stay at the 70 mph speed...

Tesla Takes Tug-of-War With Ford to Twitter

True, I'm really more interested in Ford's electric answer to Tesla as a better comparison. I love the competition this is bringing out in Chevrolet too, can't wait to see which truck will actually tow 14000 lbs any significant distance at 75 mph. I really want to see a tow rating along side the...

Tesla Takes Tug-of-War With Ford to Twitter

Well... not one rev if more than a single cylinder engine. firings = #cyl/2 for 4 stroke, so a 6 cylinder would've fire 3 times per rev. I would be interested in the lag times of commanded torque vs actual. In addition, the controller can retard cylinders very quickly, but no where near as...

Tesla Takes Tug-of-War With Ford to Twitter

Original post was focusing on a lab setting, my second post ("To be fair, to do exactly what I'm saying outside a lab setting, would prove difficult by the average consumer, but a responsible attempt by an unbiased test between the two trucks") really meant to address that a real world test...

Tesla Takes Tug-of-War With Ford to Twitter

That wasn't at all the point, but yes, the consumer is not setting up the test in the video (which I believe it to be a pathetic attempt to win over the uninformed). To win over the average truck consumer (i.e. that may have performed in tug-o-wars, towed heavy trailers or driven light in the...

Tesla Takes Tug-of-War With Ford to Twitter

They will decline until they have their full electric platform ready to show to the world. Then it won't be an easy win for Tesla. Think about if the trucks had exactly the same weight over each tire, tires being the same type, pressure and ultimately patch area, the same amount of distribution...

Walkaway lock at home ... I don’t want it

Yes, it will still open, I was mentioning that because I think it is a side case not handled properly by Tesla. I'm not saying it is a big deal, but I don't believe it is a great implementation since it could easily be solved by simply increasing time before auto lock occurs or implementing it...

    Homelink Issues since V10?

Walkaway lock at home ... I don’t want it

With a locked garage, I'm not worried about car being stolen either, but the main reason I would like to control the distance this autolocking occurs, or adding a time delay is simply to better the implementation of the locking. When I walk around the front of my car (even 2 ft away), it...

MASTER THREAD: 2019.36.2.1 - new HOLD mode and other features

I think this hold mode would be better if Tesla allowed for brake blending adjustment. For example, instead of waiting until ~0 mph, allowing blending @2, 1 or 0 mph. The other improvement I could suggest to handle the car going in the opposite direction is to arrest any motion by...

    Passenger reactions to full acceleration

Love the story, however I would caution people in officially.test driving one from Tesla. If you do, you will loose the 7day return window. Model 3 Performance Wheel Damage at Car Wash

Update: I've been working with the local car wash. The regional manager was good enough to let me inside the track area to help identify/document the issue. I found several bolts, that attach the 'banana peel' (yellow plastic surface that the inside of the wheel is designed to rub the entire...

Model 3 Performance Wheel Damage at Car Wash

Well, when they are constantly being gouged, the enamel plating is being ripped off as well. This is definitely not normal wear and tear and the local car wash is now investigating after I filed a damage claim. All of my rims have been affected as I've rotated them throughout the year, however...

Model 3 Performance Wheel Damage at Car Wash

Thanks for the tip. The inner rim lib is gouged in hundreds of places over this summer. Since there will be massive salt during these heavy winters in Indiana, I'm wondering what is the right sealant for repair to being back to factory spec. I'm not sure touch-up paint will solve the problem...

    Teslas are welcome in Arizona

That is very awesome. In Indiana, they tax electric during registration to punish going electric (it costs me a few extra couple hundred annually to register since my Tesla). They claim it is because I'm not paying fuel tax at pump. It is amazing how some states hate the idea of electric and...

M3P wins SCCA Autocross National Championship

You can totally fit 265 (I test fitted), I decided to go with 255 35 19 stock width aftermarket setup to stay in BS and maintained sharpness since I also track car I didn't feel loosing 4% in PAX to be SM was worth doing 275 and slightly wider rims.
