Santa Elon New Software Easter Egg Version 2020.48.26

Why is this being reported as a new Easter egg? This has been in the toy box for at least as long as I have owned my 3 in July 2019.

Official Thread: Cybertruck (Cybrtrk) Event - Nov 21, 2019

Well on the positive side, it proves that Tesla has no fear about taking risk and gives zero f&*ks about convention. That's a good thing and that's what it takes to be a change agent. While other truck makers are touting how they have revolutionized the tailgate, Tesla throws it all out and...

    Some help with CupHead?

I’m having an issue with Cuphead that is slightly different. It may be my controller. I have this cheap controller: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01KJS4ILY when I launch cuphead I just get a black screen with a loading icon. If I unplug the controller it says “plug in a controller” but...

Tesla V10 software update rollout: post here if you are still waiting

you were writhing waiting for it? Counter to this, I had mine on standard. Started to feel FOMO switched to advanced for a day then decided “nah” and switched back to standard. It still didn’t come for like another 5 days.

Will I be happy with Slacker?

With a category as broad as "80s, 90s, & Today" you would think there wouldn't be any repeats. There is a huge breadth of material to draw from in those 4 decades.. BTW.. shouldn't it be "80s, 90s, 00's, & Today"?

Will I be happy with Slacker?

It's weird that it only applies to that song though and doesn't actually learn the preference. For instance, I created a channel based on a Dawes song, and it keeps playing Alabama Shakes. I do NOT like Alabama Shakes but no matter how much I thumbs-down them, it keeps playing them. I mostly...

text from service center (downgrade from sr+ to sr)

A software-limited 100% is not the same and doesn't have the same impact to battery charging. Given that they are now reserving ~10% battery for non-use, there is no way the OP can overcharge that battery. I would have no problem always charging to 100% in this scenario.

    Used 2018 LR vs new 2019 SR+

When I bought my LR RWD, there were 3 factors that were important to me with the premium interior: 1. Sound system, 2. Homelink 3. Connectivity. Homelink is no longer included in premium (though it would be in the 2018). The 2019 would have HW3.0 for Autopilot, the 2018 probably 2.5. Not...

I'm in Love with My Center Console Wrap

I opted for the carbon fiber because I wanted a texture. I don't really care that it is "fake" carbon fiber, I just wanted a texture to hide any imperfections and it does that nicely. I also got the white armrest cover to complete my white interior.

    I love my leaf , but ....

Great question. I also traded in a '13 Leaf for my Model 3 and of course you have some little things you don't like at first (dash, etc.) but once you drive it for a while, it all just really starts to gel. I can't say that I have really enjoyed driving a car as much as I do my Model 3.

MASTER THREAD: Jack Points — location, use, damage, pads, etc.

I had this issue happen suddenly yesterday. I got in my car after a short drive home (6 mile commute) so no long-range driving. The car had been sitting in the garage for about an hour. When I went out and hit reverse, I got this: I returned home, restarted the car. No change. I shut the...

Performance comes with floor mats right?

I didn't mind the carpet mats when they were new, but I have a (nearly white) yellow labrador and his hair is everywhere. It sticks to the bottoms of shoes and gets on the carpet. Vacuuming it out is a chore, you have to pull each mat and vacuum scrape hairs out of the fibers. I got the...

    Remove HomeLink Module?

I agree with this, it's part of the totaled car, should be included in the replacement cost. Even if you move the module, I'm not even sure the feature would magically come on. There might be a software update to actually use it.

Tesla's Tesla Trade In is Broken

Carvana can pay more because they will be the one selling it do another consumer, it's their business model. Tesla doesn't even have dealerships so it doesn't have the space to store used inventory. They don't want it. I traded in my Nissan Leaf to Tesla but I know they just put it on a truck...

Homelink Garage Door Opening no longer included with Premium Interior Package

I'm with you. With my clicker remote, and the Homelink in my wife's Highlander, I can click at the top of my steep driveway and the door is open by the time I get down the hill. With the Tesla module, I have to wait until I'm 30ft. I assumed the same as you that it has to do with how low it...

improved phone key reliability on 2019.24.4 (maybe)

I haven't noticed a change based on version, but my experience at first was flawless. Not once did I ever try to open the door with the phone in my pocket and it not open. Then a few weeks ago, I decided to change my tesla.com account email. Doing this kicked me out of the app and dropped my...

    What is your Whr/Miles

Also you should ask which size wheels and if 18 whether aero caps are on or off. What kind of distance are you measuring? Average since you got it? I have RWD LR, 19" wheels. My average over the first 1k miles is 247.

I agree with this. While I do like it and it works well for me to both open and close, and I like not having to think about garage door opening it just happens, if it hadn't come with my car I'm not sure I would have paid extra. I did have to modify the distance a few times to get just the...

    Model 3 - Resale value

Yeah the thing about KBB is they aren't buying cars. A car's value is the amount someone will actually write a check for it. Try Carvana. They are selling Tesla's like hotcakes and are probably offering a higher tradein value. They will buy the car even if you don't buy one from them (same as...

Homelink Garage Door Opening no longer included with Premium Interior Package

These are great ideas. If I had not gotten the homelink module free with my order, I would probably not have spent the $300. I was carrying a visor clip remote in my console and the ideas here to "mount" that in a hidden place that is more convenient than opening up the console every time, are...

I’ll echo what others have said about the WiFi option. My garage does have the WiFi option and I can open it with the myQ app. But even with that I was still using a manual clicker because the app is slow and I don’t want to fumble with my phone. The auto open as I approach is perfect. I also...

I would think so but I really don’t know. If the module is detected it might just automatically appear. No idea. The tech did bring his laptop into my car and do something but I have no idea what that was. He may have been checking other diagnostics since he also checked air pressure in my tires...

Homelink Garage Door Opening no longer included with Premium Interior Package

In addition to plugging in the device, the tech did have to enable something (I think) at least he brought his laptop and sat in the driver seat for a few minutes. After that he walked me through setting it up with my garage opener. After he left I found a broken body clip in my driveway. I...

Dang I almost snapped a photo of it but I didn’t. It is about the size of a wallet. A black thing a little bit wider than a deck of cards and about as thick. As for mine after using it for a few days and tweaking the distance I LOVE IT! My garage is beneath my house and with my old clicker I...

Also putting the module behind the bumper makes it a lot harder to get the signal to the receiver I think. It’s so low to the ground while the receiver is on the ceiling of the garage. I have heard some speculation that Tesla was paying Homelink a per car license fee and by reducing it to only...

Tesla finally makes a CHAdeMO adapter compatible with Model 3

Tesla finally makes a CHAdeMO adapter compatible with Model 3

My issue with the EA CHAdeMO charging is the per-min rate of 89¢. I charge 20 minutes on a supercharger for about $3. On EA, it would be $17 and I wouldn't have nearly the mileage added. I do like the way Tesla charges on a per-mile basis. It ensures you are getting out what you are paying...

Well my appointment is not until July 15 due to my being on vacation. So perhaps you could share your experience? I saw somewhere that the entire front bumper facia has to come off. I just had clear bra and ceramic coating applied so I really hope it doesn’t damage it.

I read somewhere that the actual module costs pennies. Maybe there was some kind of manufacturing challenge that eliminating it solves putting that effort on the service center. But I agree. Hi all. Just joined the forum as I just took delivery of my LR RWD MSM 3 today. I ordered on May 25. When the news hit that homelink was being dropped, I called my local sales office and asked if this would impact me. He told me that as long as I had ordered prior to May 30 it would still be...
