Can you charge a CSS Model Y with Gen 2 Type 2 Tesla wall charger?

I have a Gen 2 Type 2 wall charger from 4 years ago and will be getting a new Model Y with CSS socket, will my old Type 2 charger work with the new car?

Navigate On Autopilot: automatic lane change results

Is it just me or is 2020.24.6.1 a step back in smoothness? It seems to be jerky for acceleration and breaking, possibly a bit less steady on steering too?

Navigate On Autopilot: automatic lane change results

We absolutely need people like Enginerd recording and reporting AP performance results for the masses, he is one of the good ones :) You make a great point too, the other day I did a 1hour/48mile drive, over 90% was on AP and apart from junctions and roundabouts there were only 3 occasions...

Navigate On Autopilot: automatic lane change results

This is the final video with Enginerd's lovely data...Or is it??? I made this vid using that last drop of Enginerd's data, it's a bit basic so considering making a dedicated reel showing the progress of Enginerds data over the past 12 months, as a bit of a thank you and testimonial. What...

Navigate On Autopilot: automatic lane change results

Nooooo, say it ain't so! How am I gonna get all the lovely data for my video's now? So, enough of the selfish rant, really happy that your life has become more convenient and family are well. Best wishes to you Enginerd.

    Anyone got HW3 retrofit yet?

Picking my UK June 2018 MS tomorrow, 2 year checks, 4 new tires, HW3 Upgrade :) I don’t expect much of a difference from my 2.5 computer apart from some minor visualisation improvements but very excited anyway

Very excited, picking up my 2018 MS tomorrow, 2 year checks, 4 new tires and HW3 retrofit upgrade (from 2.5). I know it doesn’t give me much over 2.5 but still excited. I feel a video upgrade coming on. Tesla Autopilot Test - Take me to Shakespeare 100%

    Autopilot getting worse

That is really odd, I've not heard of the car overiding a driver set 'lower speed' up to 70 on the same stretch of road. I have seen something similar the other way around, entering a 50 zone and max speed stays at 70, the car knows it's 50 because the speed sign on the dash goes to 50 but the...

    Autopilot getting worse

Haven't seen that before, maybe it's a safety feature because AP saw the cones? (very jealous you have HW3 by the way)

    NOA with 2.5 hardware

I have FSD & HW2.5 on UK MS and use the data Enginerd produces in my videos (useful graphs, see 13:30 into the video). This video shows overtaking lane holding, speed matching cars on the inside lane and swift lane changes on a dual carriageway. Tesla Software 2019.40.50.1 - Christmas Update

    Autopilot getting worse

Been testing AP & NoAP for a while and working with a TMC buddy to record data over the whole of 2019, definitely seeing improvements over time on both motorways and non-motorways. Tesla Software Update 2019.36.2.4 - More NoAP Performance Data Most recently on 2019.40.50.7 on non-motorway...

    Anyone got HW3 retrofit yet?

Got my car with FSD package in June 2018, so heading for two years with getting very little for the extra cost. Really hoping the upgrade comes to the UK soon. AP is working well in general, on both motorways and non-motorways. Tesla Software Update 2019.40.50.7 - Take me to Shakespeare 100%...

I’m getting good AP performance on 40.50.7. Just went from home to Shakespeare’s home town, 31mins driving, all on country roads, villages and town, 87% on AP (No lane changes). Pretty good going in my opinion. Tesla Update 2019.40.50.7 - Take me to Shakespeare 100% on AutoPilot!

Navigate On Autopilot: automatic lane change results

Strange, I have been testing this with my Model S on 40.50.7, it is not holding the passing lane much at all, often highlighting the driving lane (in UK we don't get auto lane change) within 30 seconds.

    Is it really worth it?

All I can say about McLaren Manchester, this is absolutely a dealership management issue. I have had both good and bad experiences dealing with high end providers, mostly good, and IMHO it always comes back to the top down attitude of the leadership. Navigate On Autopilot: automatic lane change results

Just reviewed 2019.40.50.1 - From my testing so far it's a definite AP/NoAP improvement, ping ponging gone (maybe a little in the bends), still holding passing lane a bit but it felt much more sorted overall I touch on Enginerd's most recent test results, although holding passing lane saw a...

Navigate On Autopilot: automatic lane change results

You make a very good point, the data shows a huge drop in total number of fails if you include the 'Fail to exit' issue, however if you take that outlier out the data is pretty stable (2 or 3% change on a couple of the actions, which statistically is not enough of a change to identify an issue)...
  30. Didgie

Navigate On Autopilot: automatic lane change results

Wow, that is a massive drop in performance (albeit for fewer events than your usual extensive tests), not what I was seeing in my initial tests, however longer term testing is showing increased ping ponging and starting to cause some concern, although not quite on the scale your charts suggest.

Thoughts on Autopilot after a week of ownership (UK)

AP is not yet configured to deal with junctions and roundabouts, although I know they are testing the code for city driving which I believe will deal with junctions and roundabouts. Navigate On Autopilot: automatic lane change results

I have also noticed a change in performance, speed matching occurrences have increased, over running the lines and over correction during on/off ramps is significant and a general increase in issues leading to confidence reduction is noticeable, so to see it backed up in your data is telling a...

Ah, the patents things makes sense but is completely senseless at the same time, I know that Mercs, BMW's, Audi's all read roadsigns perfectly well, so I guess the Tesla issue is something to do with the contract Tesla signed with MobileEye? either that or all the other manufacturers pay the...
