I have the problem in my SR+ that the recording seems to be a bit flaky - I first tried a 128 GB pure Tesla USB stick, but after a few weeks that failed as the car would say that the write speed wasn't high enough. If you unplugged it and plugged it back in again it would be fine until the next...

I also see in the article that SR+ will get live traffic and satellite view on the maps with premium connectivity - which we currently don't get with our "trial". Hopefully they will be included when we eventually start paying for this. I'd be more than happy to hand over a reasonable amount...

Hobart area. Our delivery is scheduled for the 25th. When they called me in September I think I was the first on their list as they offered me any time in that entire week. Sadly I'm away most of the week, so the 25th it had to be!

The Chargefox chargers in Tasmania have CCS and chademo. And all the new superchargers (Chargefox and Evie) are required to have CCS and chademo. In Tasmania at least anyway. I assume that's true for elsewhere. Doesn't the Leaf use chademo?

Yep, the week of October 21-25. Yesterday I got FOUR emails from Tesla (almost unheard of), with a bunch of forms to fill in (registration) before delivery.

Bought the AliExpress ones. Although I don't have my car yet (next week), so can't really comment on the fit just yet!

Those of you in Tassie - another future owner just posted on Facebook that she got an email from Tesla confirming that her car is now in the state and getting processed before her scheduled delivery of Oct 21-25.

Likewise, I'd also be very interested in paying for this upgrade. Hopefully this (trial?) free connectivity is also still there when they finally start delivering to Tasmania. Curious question though - has it also unlocked anything else? Like the rear seat heaters?

For those that already have the car - will a regular lightning cable not fit? Or do you need one of these L-shaped connectors? And if you do, how long does the cable need to be?

Well my car was manufactured on July 10, arrived in Australia on August 16, and I got a VIN on August 30! Don't have the car yet - that won't be for about another four weeks...

Nice! I see the "Central Tasmania" one is at Kings Meadows. I think I would have preferred Campbell Town (very convenient place to stop when driving between Hobart and Launceston), but I'll certainly take this! Hopefully Evie out one in Campbell Town then.

I'm not an electrician, or have many skills in that area, so I wouldn't know. I do know that I was told that my house wasn't wired for 3-phase (I guess most homes aren't), but if you already have 3-phase then you're probably a step ahead of most of us! You could always call up an electrician...

Another guy on Facebook in Sydney was saying he got quoted $1,700 (although a slightly difficult install), so $800 doesn't sound too bad!

I'm in that range, but delivery will be via truck in Tassie - hopefully I don't have any issues!

Just got an estimate from a Tesla approved electrician to install the wall connector next month (Hobart area), and it was far better than I thought - about $300. Although he did say that I've got one of the easiest installs he's ever seen!

Mine arrived via email about 6 hours after I got the call.
