Thanks but phones and key a long ways away. It stayed unlocked until we lock with phone. Very strange. Will keep watching to see if happens again for 3 time.

Out Tesla unlocks after charging is complete. Why? This is not safe, you could take cable out of charging port, get in car, use display etc. but when to try to put in gear it does request a key. We are new to our Tesla 3, are we doing something wrong..
