T3 Unlocked after charging

Out Tesla unlocks after charging is complete. Why? This is not safe, you could take cable out of charging port, get in car, use display etc. but when to try to put in gear it does request a key.

We are new to our Tesla 3, are we doing something wrong..

The car doesn't unlock after charging is complete.
If you are charging at home, evidently it still may be hearing your phone. But it is not strong enough to hear inside the car

Thanks but phones and key a long ways away. It stayed unlocked until we lock with phone. Very strange. Will keep watching to see if happens again for 3 time.

I would do a hard reboot of the car, and then test to see if this is still happening. ALL that should be happening when you are fully charged is you're notified on your phone through the app. If the car is unlocking upon full charge, there is something wrong and needs to be addressed.

Soft reboot btw is holding down both "buttons" on the steering wheel till the screen turns off.

Hard reboot is doing the same, but with the brake pedal pressed down the entire time.

Soft reboot can be done while driving, as its just resetting the main display, and doesn't interfere with any of the driving mechanics. Hard reboot must be performed while stationary. Should only take a couple of minutes at most.

Do you have walk away lock enabled?

If not, and you aren’t locking the car explicitly, and if the car is charging while unlocked, then when charging stops the charge port isn’t locked either. It’s locked for safety only while charging. Why keep it locked after charging is complete if the car is unlocked anyways? Someone could go inside unlocked car and just tap “unlock” icon, right?

Wait, wait. The locked car doors unlock after charging complete?? Or the locked charge port unlocks because you’ve left the car unlocked?
