How to arrange Fremont factory visit

I just emailed Tesla for tour info as of June 12, 2022. We appreciate your interest in attending a Tesla Factory tour. Public tours are not currently available but we hope to bring them back in the future. Thank you for your understanding and your ongoing support. -Tesla...

Finding it hard to remain passionate about Tesla

Here is why I disagree. This past Friday I got in my Model S and looked at SC1 and there was a message regarding the replacement of the 12v battery. I got out my phone and proceeded to make a service appointment. The appointment was made for August 6th with Tesla’s Mobile Service. The...

    Wiki FAQ: MCU2 Upgrades

I am having the same problem as well with my 2015 Model S 70D. My warranty is still in until late December. I’m going to hold off and see what happens in the next 6 months.

Receiving and replying to text messages with 2020.8.1.1

Yes I noticed that as well. Can’t figure out how to control volume.

Receiving and replying to text messages with 2020.8.1.1

I noticed 2 things. They have fixed the phone/Bluetooth issue regarding connectivity. If you are on your cell and you get in the Tesla it does not transfer from your phone to the car until you sit in the drivers seat and close the door. Also, voice command has been improved so that recognizes...

    Wiki FAQ: MCU2 Upgrades

Great information. Question. I have a 2015 MS 70D with AP1 and MCU1. Will this paid upgrade provide AP2 and MCU2? Or just MCU2? Sounds like a new screen for higher resolution?

Tesla infotainment system upgradeable from MCU1 to MCU2

Am I understanding this correctly. If you have a MCU1 in your Tesla, after about 3,000 updates the MCU will stop working? If that's the case I will stop installing updates until I can ascertain if the upgrades are worth it. I have a 2015 Model S 70D with the MCU1. The last several updates I...

What should my ideal charge percentage be?

Subscribe to TeslaFi ... You can’t set any percentage and it will charge your Tesla to that percentage. Wonderful app. However, the only downside at this point is that it is web based and not an actual app ... yet!

What should my ideal charge percentage be?

I have no idea what you are talking about.

What should my ideal charge percentage be?

The chart is correct. I have the Tesla wall charging unit and it works great. I contacted Tesla and they advised for my Model S 70D that the maximum amps to provide quickest charging time is 48 amps. However that would require a 60 amp breaker. My electrical contractor advised based on all...

    Model 3 Software version 2019.32.x

I have been having a software update icon pop up at the top of the screen, orange in color, plus a notification coming in on my iPhone. I haven’t looked at the release notes yet, but will do so later. Right now getting ready for a possible Hurricane coming our way. I have free supercharging...

What should my ideal charge percentage be?

Please don’t respond to anymore of my post. I know what is going on with my Tesla and I know what happens when I charge my car. Thank you but I don’t need anymore of your suggestions.

What should my ideal charge percentage be?

I really don’t care about all the weed dipping. I’m done with this argument trying to say what is right or wrong. I just know what happens with my Model S. I am sure you know what happens with your Tesla. Have a good day.

What should my ideal charge percentage be?

With my Model S destination charger here is what I get: 240v at 40 amps on a 50 amp breaker. Charging rate is 37 mph Power rate utility co. $0.12/kWh

What should my ideal charge percentage be?

I understand that. I drive 65 which is the rated speed by EPA.

What should my ideal charge percentage be?

I am not calculating anything. When i charge the Model S to 100% the range is showing 285. You don’t want to use ideal anyway because it is not real world. Even rated is not accurate since driving habits have a lot to do with total driving range. If you drive like a wild man, your travel...

What should my ideal charge percentage be?

I also believe that the EPA rating is an average based on certain standards, like speed, weather conditions, slowing down for slower traffic and speeding up above the average speed. I believe that standard is 65 mph.

What should my ideal charge percentage be?

I know that’s what I was told as well. But when I put my charging system on MAX it takes the range up to 285. I verified this with my local Tesla Service Center and they confirmed it is accurate.

What should my ideal charge percentage be?

I agree. I have a 2015 Model S 70D that will be 4 years old this October. My loss maximum travel miles has decreased from 285 to 283. I keep my charge level at 200 miles for daily which is roughly 70%. I still have over 5 years of warranty life left, so I am really not worried about it. i...
