(I realize this thread is 3 years dead- but hope this is a nice blast from the past) As a new Model 3 driver- I would love to see this come back.

Supported car kit- so Tesla needs up enhance support now. It’d also be nice to get basic navigation enabled- view playlists and such.

This has been my experience in every car I’ve ever had a Bluetooth connection and infotainment display so it makes me think it’s more of a tech limitation than a Tesla specific issue. CarPlay in my old Mazda 3 was really the most consistent I’ve ever experienced with displaying correct album art.

I blacked out my front and back emblems and badges with plastidip. Pretty easy to do- and I can undo it easily if I want to freshen it up. I have a black 3 LR AWD.

I took delivery of my 3 on Saturday and experienced this behavior over the weekend 2-3 times. I’m in the Bay Area too so you’d think they’d have a lot of data to tune the algorithm over here.

Actually, I was wrong. I got the lid to close with phone in place on the charger, still worked great.

I’m using the Nomad wireless charger. Nice finish, charges phone, lid closes when phone isn’t on the mat. Does anyone know of a wireless charger that will let you close the compartment while a phone is charging? Clearance seems pretty tight so it might not be possible.

Interesting- I got my delivery date and was assigned to pick up at the Fremont Hub. Chose an appointment time and everything. Are you trading in a vehicle as well? I am so I'm wondering if that impacts if you pick up or get delivered.

For those of us without a 3D printer, anyone know of a way to get a piece like this made? @OP are you taking orders?
