I was driving on I40 today near Kingman, Az today saw at least four car carriers full of model 3's heading eastbound . At least 2 of them were White performance models like the one I'm waiting for since 7/28. I wanted to stop the driver and demand my car!

I called my SA and asked again, still no estimate on anything other than no update known at this time. I ordered a White/Black M3P on 7/28 in OC, no vin but did get a text of 4-5 weeks out.

The black interior must be the hold up (other than making export cars currently). Ordered 7/28 White ext back int P3D southern California, my text said 4-5 weeks.

So you ordered twice a few weeks apart and put a $2500 deposit on each. The second ordered gets scheduled for delivery first so you cancel the first order? Yeah, something is really screwed up at Tesla!

I'm in southern California. Yes, I ordered with a Sales person from the Mission Viejo store. I think all the cars that people got after me were built earlier since their VINs are all sub 500k, Tesla is on 520557 as of Aug 11.

I was told something similar...white cars on backorder. I ordered white/black perf on 7/28, no VIN but did get the 4-5 week delay text.

Q3 ends 9/30/19

They probably are planning for quarter end production numbers. Those that ordered that got a text probably will get a car before quarter end and those that did not will be sometime in Q4. My guess is the cars they are building now are for overseas orders so they can ship and sell in time to...

LOL, I thought the same. I ordered a White M3P on 7/28 in socal, still awaiting VIN. I saw a half dozen cars that matched my order on those trucks...."Dude, that's my car!".

If it's any consolation on Tuesday I saw three truckloads of M3's heading east on I10 towards Phoenix. Most of those were white.

Just looking at this inventory app and selecting model 3 and 24hrs. It says they are cars that are ordered and not purchased, returned or specifically built for inventory. So this wouldn't reflect our orders but maybe gives an idea on what kind of cars are being made each day on the production...

Looks like Tesla released a lot (16) of white on white cars for stock in the last 24 hours.

It's interesting that if you configure a car today on the website it says deliver will be within 2-3 weeks. When I ordered on 7/28 that language was within two weeks. I have been checking this site Tesla Inventory List - Find your next car for what is available in the last 24 hours, it sure...

Im in the same boat. Same order date for white;/black performance, no update on VIN yet either. The within two week delivery date estimate is not something you can count on from Tesla apparently...I guess customers aren't a high priority for this business.

Congrats. Ordered Pearl White/Black M3P on 7/28 still waiting on VIN....obviously they didn't meet their two week time frame.

That config looks to be available and in-stock in San Diego from the website.
