Do you normally use "CHILL" mode or "NORMAL" mode with your model Y?

I tried chill briefly but it seems to reduce regen as well as acceleration. Since I like strong regen for single pedal driving I'm back to normal.

    Regen braking reduced

I'm a big fan of single pedal driving but I'm having a counter intuitive experience with a 2021 model3 LR's raw regen (no automatic brake assist). I generally approach my house from the same direction at the same speed &, if I lift my foot off the accelerator at my neighbours mailbox, the car...

Is this a record for the longest repair job

And here was me thinking we are badly done by down under. Got a nasty scrape down the side of my model 3 in early October & quickly discovered there are only a handful of repairers allowed to do Tesla work in Sydney. Next discovery was that none of them can get parts till mid Jan next year...

model 3 climate control airflow direction question

I'm confused about the 3 airflow direction buttons on a 2021 model3, windscreen, face and foot. Face acts as expected and displays airflow from the elongated slot towards the driver. But if I press face or foot it just activates/deactivates the pax side face vent. I can't work out what I'm doing...

Sydney to Kingscliff off highway charging suggestions

Sydney to Kingscliff & back via NRMA & Tesla superchargers, no dramas, they just work. Anything else (like BP Pulse Ballina or the ChargeFox in Kingscliff shopping centre) I was unable to charge. Heaps of dudes posting on plugshare saying they've used them but no mention of the magic incantation...

Sydney to Kingscliff off highway charging suggestions

I'm new to Tesla ownership & looking to take a model 3 for a run up the NSW north coast next week. I'm guessing supercharging along the highway will be OK but I'm a bit unsure about charging in the little coastal towns I want to check out along the way. It seems to me that tesla destination...

    Tesla quirks

Purchased a used 2021 model 3 AWD last month. Having read a lot about challenging behaviours from Teslas I'd memorised a few tricks, like pressing both scroll wheels simultaneously to reset the screen if required. My first quirk yesterday was trivial but, curiosity provoking. I'd accidently...

    Bought #771 in Australia today

Your red rocket pocket tourer would just eat the bit of Springwwod rd between Agnes Banks & the Hawkesbury Lookout. It was fun in a Nissan Leaf, orgasmic in a roadster I reckon!

    Bought #771 in Australia today

A roadster-in-the-wild! Nice pic, so much better than the photo of all those forlorn roadsters huddled together in the Hong Kong basement that appeared elsewhere on this forum recently. So what did this piece of ev history set you back & what range does it have left?

    Early 75/75D pack degradation

My 2013 Leaf is down to half it's original range (180>90km) after 70,000km. But that's got nothing on the ebay jump starter packs for ICEs, claimed capacity 30Ah, actual capacity 3Ah. Somewhere between Teslas & ebay fibbing becomes fraud I reckon.

    WTB: "Good" used Roadster ESS

That's not very nice, an ESS with the newer Panasonics would be a range improver. Maybe Tesla should pick up that early Google line, "don't be evil"? Interested in your experience repairing a roadster Kev, have you got a blog on your trials & tribulations online anywhere?

    Roadster Hire

GetAround had a few Roadsters for rent in 2011 when I was in the US for the Oshkosh air show (roadsters are $200k+ exotica here in Australia). Anyway I fumbled the opportunity & never got around to getting a drive. Will be stateside again next April but now there seem to be none to be had...

    #927 - Red - Salvage

    #927 - Red - Salvage

Does anybody know how long these things can sit for before the battery dies? Is there a quick way to see a state of charge indicator on the drivers display in the 2008 model?

Is it possible to convert a LHD Roadster to RHD ?

Can anybody clue me up on what's involved in converting a LH drive roadster to RH drive? Roadsters are toxically expensive here in Australia (>$200k) & I was wondering about picking up a good used stateside & having the steering swapped over? Also I've seen a few salvage jobs (won't drive/won't...
