    Supercharger - Brooks, Alberta

Yes please for Drum. I would settle in the meantime for some Level 2s at the Royal Tyrrell for winter trips from Calgary

Nice option for those heading to/from Dinosaur Provincial Park. Made it to Bassano on the return trip back to Calgary once with 4% in poor weather, which was perfect for maximum speed but a bit puckering as a first timer. Would love to see some fast charging options in Drumheller too…

Saw a nice set of construction photos in the Tesla Owners Club of Alberta Facebook page. Looks to be new this week from the comments there.

Thanks for doing this! I may be headed that way in August and will see if there's appetite to do similarly (but I doubt it with kids in tow).

Bingo - I just didn’t know the norms. Thanks for explaining. Probably also makes sense of why some sites have been stuck at a permit stage for so long?

Exactly. And what is contained in those minutes might give us a flavour of what is to come. Seems a bit enthusiastic to put this at permit stage, but we can be hopeful.

Yeah, though it’s an agenda (which I read voraciously) but not minutes, so it’s not even clear if it was discussed, let alone what decision was made if any. It would be interesting if anyone from Tesla was present to respond to questions. But having it listed as Permit should mean there is an...

Do we have anything more than an agenda from a municipal meeting to go on here? For example, do we know if this went to a vote, and if so, the outcome? Is there an actual approved “permit” in force? I’m as enthusiastic as the next guy, but does this seems a bit thin to be considered “permit”...

My only suggestion would be to consider pulling even larger gauge wire if a second EV is in your future (and this is your "forever" house). This would allow you to potentially link multiple HPWCs together, as they can communicate, thus allowing full current draws when appropriate, or lower draws...

Ah, well then. Maybe they stencil in the numbers later? Or possibly with the advent of V3, it's been overlooked as part of the process?

    Supercharger - Richmond, BC

Nor should there be, if it is a V3, as the pedestals are not paired - no sharing!

The size of said cable suggests it would not be directly powering 3 stations simultaneously, at 50kW each, no? The battery pack angle seems intriguing...

Yes, the justification here is pragmatic and operational, not tied to some notion of marketing or sly dealings with others, and why it remains my preferred theory.

    Priorities 2020

I don't live anywhere near Atlantic Canada, but have driven around there previously. I'm therefore coming at this from the angle of travelling and vacationing, so grain of salt etc. - There's currently nothing on the Gulf of Saint Lawrence in Quebec, nor NB, nor NS. The current setup is...

I can verify that while plugged in and not actively charging (i.e. charged to target overnight), when preheating the car, it will draw power from the wall circuit. Depending on how much you can draw from the wall, it could pull power from the battery (e.g. if you're only on a household plug like...

    Supercharger - Red Deer, AB

Nice! As I said, have been there totally alone, and still never get anything above 60kW in a M3 LR RWD, and today, with max preconditioning (honestly, I think it started leaving Leduc!) it was at maybe 30-35kW? Have only Supercharged 4 times, so can’t imagine it’s a degradation issue...

    Supercharger - Red Deer, AB

Gotta say, V3 can't come soon enough. The current Red Deer SC never seems all that "super" to me. Have been there completely alone, reasonably low SoC, and have never had it deliver more than 50-60kW. With Thanksgiving traffic today there was a bit of a lineup, and got only 32kW (totally...

    Supercharger - Moose Jaw, SK

For me, the current location seems out of the way, far from Gasoline Alley, with access only to the hotel for refreshments and restrooms. something with easier access from the highway, and closer to 24h restaurants etc. would be cool.

    Supercharger - Bassano, AB

I have a little palaeontologist in the making who would really like a trip to Eastend to see Scotty the T. rex, and these developments would make that very possible - especially if Maple Creek comes online too.

A colleague sent me these today. They weren’t taken today of course (no snow in the photos!) and not sure exactly when, but likely this past week. Though I’d send along. Looks quite polished. Just need the cabinets etc.
