How many pre-facelift owners here are on their original Drive Unit?

What is a "capped" battery? We have the same spec car and I am unfamiliar with that term.

Persistent Vibration 41-44 mph and again at 83 mph

That is correct. There is a t45 (or 50 can’t remember) and a 5/8 but on the other side. Use the t45 to hold the bolt position and turn the nut to 60 lb ft torque.

Persistent Vibration 41-44 mph and again at 83 mph

Well left to my own devices I believe I may have resolved the vibration for the most part. I share this as I have read other threads where people had the same issue and gave up! So to recap Tesla has replaced numerous suspension parts, control arms, integral link, drive units, axles and I have...

    2013 P85 vibration from suspension

I have this same exact issue and started a thread recently. So far a similar story with the SC replacing (at my expense) several parts, new wheels and tires, multiple road force balances, several drive units, control arms, integral link, and now the SC is back to wheels and tires even though...

Persistent Vibration 41-44 mph and again at 83 mph

****Update****. Took it in today and was informed that rear axles and hubs are new and vibration persists. The tech said there are really no other viable parts to replace and returned to the wheel theory, right where we started...... The vibration is enough that it can vibrate your voice if...

Persistent Vibration 41-44 mph and again at 83 mph

******UPDATE***** Vibration is back with a vengeance. So far the cost includes wheels and tires (Per Tesla mis-diagnosis), road force balance, alignment, and above listed Tesla repairs (another mis-diagnosis) I am well into the 3k range. I took a longer highway journey this morning and the...

Persistent Vibration 41-44 mph and again at 83 mph

Got the car back today. The following items were replaced and vibration at lower speeds is gone. High speed vibration still persists though drastically improved. Below is the text from the repair order, it appears they had to go through several drive units to get a good one. Im most...

Persistent Vibration 41-44 mph and again at 83 mph

Interesting. I get clunks randomly under acceleration as well. Might send that link to the service center.

Persistent Vibration 41-44 mph and again at 83 mph

The tires and wheels are brand new, also tested against a known good set off another vehicle. At this point I agree about the suspension but so many of the bushings have been replaced. I think Tesla is stumped as they just send a message every day the car will need to stay overnight while they...

Persistent Vibration 41-44 mph and again at 83 mph

Would love to hear any follow up if you find a solution. My car has been in for over a week and they still have not diagnosed the issue successfully.

Persistent Vibration 41-44 mph and again at 83 mph

2013 Model S P85 Has a vibration in the seat and steering wheel between 41-44 mph and it comes back again at 83-87 mph. So far I have replaced the tires twice, road force balanced the tires numerous times including at the Tesla SC, replaced the OEM wheels with forged wheels, forced balanced...
