Hello, I have a set of 20" Uberturbine wh
eels from a 2021 Model 3 Performance. The wheels are in very good condition with the exception of one scratch. The original tires do need to be replaced, as they are down to the wear markers. Comes with the original TPMS as well. I prefer local pickup...
FWIW - I've been on MPP Comfort non-adjustable coilers since the beginning of 2020. I just installed my Eibach sway bars this past Saturday. While I did notice a bit less of independence between the left and right, I didn't think it was significant. I even asked my wife, if she thought the car...
Ordered these from Traverse Ridge Racing through Amazon. It came as a 4-pack, but only ended up using two of them. I put the third one on the car to see how it would look, and decided I didn't need them in the rear. So one has never been mounted, and one has been mounted but never driven on...
I have these on my car. I would say that it is more comfortable than the stock performance suspension. Wife hates my stiff suspension I put on my BMWs. She said these were comfortable. Never going back to stock.
I have read that the oils that end up on the interior of your windshield is due to the off-gassing of the plastics in your car. I've followed this method with great results:
Involves using a Magic Eraser.
Hope that helps.
There is room to go lower. My collars can spin down another 3 more inches. I don't really want to go lower, as I sometimes bottom out on steep driveways already. Thanks.
Wanted to update this thread. I appreciate Jesse sticking with me through all of this. I took the coilovers off and sprayed the mating surfaces between the spring and the perches with brake cleaner. Wiped them down thoroughly. Put them back on, and the springs stopped moving by a lot. I then...
Just got my SV602 wheels from Signature Wheels. Appreciate the help from Jamie @SignatureSales. I’m happy with the end results. Love that these are 10 pounds lighter than my stock 20’s. Here’s are a few pics. It’s a bit smoky out here today. Need it to clear up for some better shots.
Here is mine on MPP Comfort Coilovers. I dropped it to about a 1 finger gap. Not sure what that translates to overall drop. I don’t have clearance issues on the front but have had issues on certain driveways that have a steep apex that causes me to scrape the center. I’ve learned to take those...
Suspension off my 2020 Performance Model 3. Put about 2k miles on them before I swapped them out for Coilovers. This has been sitting in my garage for a while now in the box.
Prefer pickup as these are a bit on the heavier side. Located in the NorCal Bay Area, CA.
Asking $400 OBO
Thanks. I’m lowered on MPP Comfort Coilovers. Lowered it to about a one finger gap between the tire and the fender. I have 20mm spacers in the back. Couldn’t fit the 15mm spacers I wanted in the front. I do have some new rims on the way. Can’t wait to get those on.
You only need the spring compressor for taking the top hat off the OEM struts. Mash is correct, if you lift the car up, spin the collar down, you will have about 1 - 2 inches of play. Thanks.
Update: I took the thrust rings out that was provided to try and sprayed it down with brake cleaner. Initially, it went back to the noise level I originally had. About two days, the left side has gone silent. No pings. The right side still has pings but not as pronounced. I’m going to give it...
Update: MPP sent me Teflon rings, but it didn’t seem to work. It allows for more movement, but it’s not buttery smooth so it’s not going to move freely. I still here the pings, even a bit more now. Debating on taking them back out. I let Jesse know. He says to hang tight. He will get back to me.
hey @MountainPass, I’m really debating if I want to swap the springs at this point since the sound is less pronounced. I have not done that yet, they are still in the box. When I was adjusting the spring last time, I actually lowered the car by another 3mm. I’ve been thinking of just returning...
I haven’t drove the car much over the past few weeks during the SIP. I did drive the car today. The sound is back, but less pronounced. It does still move but less. The only thing is that it doesn’t have to be full lock left or right to make the sound anymore. I hear it at various turns now. Not...
I can confirm that the 15mm spacers will NOT work on a 2020 P3D+ with the black 20” wheels. The original studs protrude to far out not allowing the wheel to sit flush. I only have 20mm in the back which works fine. 20mm up front is a little to far. Blox said that I would have to shave the...
I finally had some time away from work to adjust my springs last night. I spun the collar all the way down, wiped the springs down, the top collar seat, the bottom seat, the collar and between the collar and the bottom spring seat. Spun the spring 90 degrees and spun the collar back up.
In the...
I received new springs from MPP, but I am hesitant to take my coilovers apart, to install these as I don't think it will make a difference. I may try adjusting the spring as suggested.
It is a bit more comforting to know that I'm not the only one experiencing this.
In case anyone is following along, I'm working with MPP email support. They are going to send me another set of springs. The person I'm working with mentioned to ensure no oil or lubricant is applied to the spring. This will help ensure they stay put under 900 lbs of weight on each side. Will...
So over the weekend I retorque the swaybar links. I also took a video to show where the sound is coming from. I spun down the collar, sprayed pb blaster, then spun up the collar a little past desired height, then spun it down a couple of turns to remove any pretension on the spring. Sound still...
Thanks. I wish that was the case. Mine did not come with any other lugs. In fact, the Blox seller told me that the only option is to either cut my existing lugs, or go to a 20mm spacer. I want to do neither. I might settle for a 10mm spacer if I can safely get the bolts that thread further in.
I have a 2020 P3D+, and had the same issue. With the 15mm spacer, the original studs stick too far out. The 20mm spacer was fine. I'm in talks with Blox to see what I can do. I like the 20mm in the rear. Wondering what to do in the front. Maybe 5 or 10mm with the modified nuts.
Thanks. I will know next time. So I torqued to 48 ft lbs the upper sway bar link. The lower one I loosened then tightened again. Not sure what the lower sway bar link is supposed to be. The noise is still there but a bit more pronounced now. No noise while going straight but some when turning at...
