Ugly but I ordered one! Can the looks be fixed?

The angular looks are integral to the making the vehicle cheap to produce and strong enough to have such high payload and towing ratings. So no is the answer.

    Pass-through window

Teslarati have twice mentioned in posts there will be a small pass through hatch about one square foot behind the rear back seat, so that long things can go through. Others have said this is mistaken and not possible or happening though and I don't know which is correct.

Elon: We can reduce the length 6+ inches

Ah, I hadn't realised that. That's a pain. I'll have to build my DIY truck camper a bit shorter or a funny angle on that end to fit. Oh well, will manage.

    5th Wheel Requirement

I also saw someone else's design where the connector for the 5th wheel was to the very top peak of the cybertruck rather than the bed. I don't know if that would be strong enough but they showed a picture of it being done historically with a different vehicle.

Elon confirms flip stop to carry 8 foot long things in the bed

When asked about carrying 8 foot long things in the bed Elon says there be a flip stop to make this possible. This might be of use / interest to some of you. Ron Pomeroy on Twitter

Solar power math for a custom camper shell on the tri-motor.

I’d rather go vertically than tow, as it’ll be difficult enough finding street parking for the large Cybertruck on it’s own in my UK city. Thanks. I need to research truck camper designing more thoroughly but I have a few years to look into it and figure it out. I've asked on UK truck camper...

Solar power math for a custom camper shell on the tri-motor.

Very rough initial sketch of what I'm thinking for my truck camper.

Solar power math for a custom camper shell on the tri-motor.

I've been planning the exact same thing - a large as possible boxy truck camper on the back, with no windows and covered on the top and all sides with strong solar panels (the sort that are strong enough to walk on) for protection from getting brushed by tree branches occasionally and such...

    Lance Camper Shell and Cybertruck!

It doesn't necessarily need to be flat. The top of the side rails looks to be at an odd angle. I would think you could design the underside of the truck camper to go on top at the same angle to match and rest on it. It will need a new camper design to fit cybertruck so it can be designed to fit...

    Cybertruck ordering questions?

Thanks but that wouldn't be a job I'd be skilled or good at. I am considering retraining as a solar panel / roof installer but that's some years off if it ever happens (I need to thoroughly look into at some point I have time) and I'd probably need to do some electrical courses. For the...

    Cybertruck ordering questions?

Will do. I'm a worse position in that I'm fairly badly in debt, but aiming to work loads and pay it off by the end of next year. I could hopefully then just about save enough for the deposit in the year following. I would want the full self driving to make money from the vehicle as a robotaxi...

    Cybertruck ordering questions?

Thanks! I'm struggling a bit meeting large debt repayments at the moment so I don't have spare cash right now anyway, but I hope to put a reservation in within the month or few (hopefully before the FSD cost rises more). I might reserve a couple of different models to have options just in case...

    Cybertruck ordering questions?

I'd like to buy my first Tesla and have some questions if you could help with some or all please? If I reserve a mid or high range but don't manage to get the money / financing agreed to pay for it when the time comes could I at that point probably switch to ordering a low end model instead...

Living and sleeping in a Cybertruck?

Might a Cybertruck work as a full time live in vehicle? Less space than a live in van but one could sleep on a mattress on the the back seats and the use the vault for storage. Do we know how wide the back seats interior is? I’m 5’10”. Long term I plan to build a large stainless steel DIY...

What do you plan to tow?

I'm planning to live full time in a large DIY truck camper on the back of the Cybertruck, made of stainless steel and covered top and sides with solar panels. Truck campers don't seem to be on your list for some reason?

    Tesla van - Model V ?

I'd love to have a Tesla van to convert as a full time live-in vehicle (I'd also used it for work as I'm a tradesman). I'd prefer the advantages Tesla has in battery life and computer interface, self-driving, etc and I'd cover the roof with solar panels to pull in extra power.
