Thanks for this. So -- I think Gruber's sells the CANs from hcsharp? My mental model is that ordering a CAN Jr from Gruber supports everyone? (If not, I'll order the CAN Sr from @hcsharp directly to share the love.) The OVMS module is utterly new information, and I will go check that out...

I just tried another round with Tesla insurance. I'll spare yinz the back-and-forth and cut to the punchline: ~30 minutes in, I was given a number for tech support. That number is not in service.

I managed to get someone from Tesla insurance on the phone who claimed they do and gave me a rough estimate, but said he was in the wrong department to help beyond that. He then transferred me to someone even less able to help, which dead-ended in "use the app." I did not yet understand that the...

For what it's worth, my email messages (via the alleged chat interface) have been /dev/null'ed so far. It's only two days, but: nothing. Generally true beyond Tesla: Any company that cannot figure out how to take their customers' money is in trouble.
