    Sudden shift into reverse

“Inadvertently changing gears” is a HUGE cause for concern! Just because you have never had a problem doesn’t make it OK. Actually, my friend just died because of this: Angela Chao drowned after fatal mistake in her Tesla, called for help Not once have I heard a current model Mercedes for...

What would happen if you end up in water?

She owned the pond! Car went into reverse by mistake. The touch screen shift is incredibly poor UI design. Angela Chao drowned after fatal mistake in her Tesla, called for help

What would happen if you end up in water?

The car does Not float. A friend just died in a Tesla submerged in a 10-15’ deep pond. I’m sure the family (very wealthy and politically connected) will be suing Tesla. Not only does the car sink, but it catches fire: thermal runaway from water ingress into the battery. And, as pointed out...

    EQS 580 Sedan Bad?

I much prefer the EQS to a Model S, or anything from Tesla. Sorry, but you asked the question here, so I'm replying. I drove an EQS over 400 miles in the southern US on a variety of roads. It has much better handling, more comfortable suspension, and is much better quality than anything Tesla...

Will Tesla Buildup Superchargers to Accommodate Anticipated Demand from Ford, GM, Rivian, and whoever else, Adopting NACS circa 2024/2025?

Surprised more Tesla owners are not up in arms about having to share your beloved Supercharger network! This was one of the main benefits of owning a Tesla… now it’s no longer unique to Tesla. It will take years for the network to expand, and may never expand to fill demand. In the interim...

    Roadster 2023

Thinking about ordering but not encouraged by this discussion! Also, why is there no CarPlay? EVERY car has it now. I use Waze religiously. There's an odd juxtaposition when you see all the tech in a Tesla and a driver with an iPhone stuck to their dash and a USB cord snaked to the charge port!

How long to get the $50k deposit back?

Deposit does not lock in the price! It’s clearly stated in the “fine print”. Pricing has not yet been set. $200K base is an estimate.

To deposit or not deposit, that is the question.

Unfortunately there’s a lot to be desired from a true super car than just acceleration. The Roadster has to be a lot better than a Plaid!

To deposit or not deposit, that is the question.

A deposit does not guarantee or set the price. Pricing has not been set yet.

No CarPlay is a deal breaker. WTF?

I was just in Vegas for CES. I was shocked to ride in a few Uber Teslas when I saw an iPhone, and even iPad, connected via a windshield or other mount. What a way to ruin that minimalist design! How can you drive without Waze, or the rest of the Apple, or Android Auto apps? I don’t understand...

Before you spend your hard-earned money on PPF.

You will Always have edges unless the panels are removed. Yes, a good shop will minimize the edges, but unless you are asking them to remove the bumpers, and other parts like head and tail lamps, you’re going to have edges. Anyone who says otherwise is lying. A lot of people don’t seem to...

PPF proper installation question - not wrapped around edges is normal?

This is not correct. As posted above, unless you remove panels, you will always see edges. Other than panels that open, like doors and hood. A good installer will minimize the edges with a custom cut; but you’ll still see them.
