    Harry’s review of the highland…

He also didn't mention that in the LR version you get upgraded sound system, better interior materials and of course that extra motor and performance. The AWD would also have meant that when he got playful it would almost certainly not have tripped the traction control as it did on his test drive.

    [UK] 2024.8.x

Yes, that's where I am with the implementation - unless you're looking at the screen very, very often you won't know there is a camera coming up, so, as you say, it's pretty much useless. All they need to do is flash a message on the (largely wasted) space on the visualisation section, which...

    [UK] 2024.8.x

I must be missing something here? I think this is one of the times when an audible/flashing notification of a soon to be reached speed camera would be great. As it is, the only way I know it's there is to look at the screen on a regular basis to see if there is a small brown circle, which is...

Tesla reduces output of Y and 3 in Shanghai

I'm no longer going to look at this thread. I'm bored and a little miffed at Zilla91's level of sarcasm. It's just not necessary, and a little uncalled for. This forum is supposed to be helpful and constructive for us Tesla owners, and some of these comments are uncalled for.

Tesla reduces output of Y and 3 in Shanghai

I moved from a 2004 Lexus IS200 to the Model 3 in 2019. Does that count?

Tesla reduces output of Y and 3 in Shanghai

I think that with battery technology where it currently is, there may be a natural ceiling to EV adoption. By this, I'm thinking of the roughly 60%+ of people who would find it very difficult/inconvenient to charge at home i.e. those who don't have off street parking. I would not have gone...

    Tesla Alternative?

Software - so true. I recently drove a BYD Seal. Really nice car, let down by software implentation, especially lane keep assist and the car's propensity to overwhelm the driver with various bings and bongs.

Error message on screen - should I be worried

Good old Isle of Wight Ferry - the most expensive ferry per mile. I do love the IOW though, Ventnor holds a special place for me.

    Tesla Alternative?

Don't forget the 'Here's how to use the TV remote darling'. Response: Not now, another time (this is the stock response every time I ask). One week later, moaning because I was out and she couldn't find how to get Netflix to load.

I run a home Unifi network, with 4 Access Points, rock solid for over 3 years now. I run the network software on a synology nas in a docker container, so it's running 24/7 to manage things. I'd recommend it to anyone.

    Run-away I-PACE, really?

I seem to remember that a long, long time ago, the early Jag XJS's had an issue with the throttle opening up and accelerating the car without driver input, and it was found to be poor shielding from radio waves being broadcast from radio controllers for models. Could be imagining it though, as...

    Run-away I-PACE, really?

Some years ago a neighbor of mine put her car in reverse by mistake, pressed the go pedal, panicked and pressed it even harder. Rammed into the front of my car so hard it shoved it in to the car behind. It happens. A lot.

    Stalkless....until 2026 anyway!

Lifted from that link above: Key will be the shift from encouraging “advisory” systems only to “intervention” systems that actively reduce the speed, while maintaining driver acceptance.

    Model 3 vs flooding

Going fast risks tearing off the front undertray. They have made it a bit more robust than earlier designs, but still vunerable to this sort of sriving through water.

    Model 3 vs flooding

Yes, I removed the lining and dried it all out, including the foam - it all spent a day on a radiator in the house. I've just ordered a LR Highland, I'm hoping Teals have amended the build design to correct this. It was one of those journeys where, if I not driven through the water, I would...

    Model 3 vs flooding

I went through long, deep 'puddle' a few weeks after getting the car (2019 model), and the front undertray was damaged. It needed a new one. Also, early model 3's can suffer from water ingress to the lower boot floor (the section under the flat tray where cables are kept). I had 2" of water...

^^^ This. This morning on the M11, lorry spray, drizzle etc. Just don't turn on at all, then suddenly they have a wipe, then go back to sleep. They are never, ever, going to get this to work properly and should throw in the towel and fit a proper sensor.

    Model 3 Leasing UK

Well, I've just confirmed an order for a Highland LR, Stealth Grey with 19" Nova wheels. Delivery due in March, happy bunny here. Millhouse leasing are the brokers. I've been with them for 4 years with my current model 3, and the lease cost for this new one is very competetive.

Quick test drive while you charge

I pre-booked the test drive, so had an hour. Tbh I knew after 5 minutes that I was going to get one. I've driven the BMW i4 M50, the BYD Seal and both are good cars but they just aren't such a complete package as the Model 3 Highland.

    Premium connectivity on new car

@Oxid8ter Mine must already be on the way when I put the order in yesterday, as they're saying March delivery. I couldn't have the standard wheels, they look so naff to me, it had to be the Novas. I have a German Shepherd - oh dear for the rear door cards :-)

    Highland m3lr with Intelligent Octopus

@Dougall1248 I did, thank you. I'm just about to change from a 2019 M3P to the Highland LR, so will certainly delete the old car and enter the new one in the Octopus app.

    Unreliable charging using Intelligent Octopus

'Unable to control your device' has happened a few times on mine too. Seems a bit random, works for a couple of weeks and then the message pops up. That said, it still seems to charge to within a percent or two of the set amount, so I'm not that concerned.

    Premium connectivity on new car

Hi all, I've just ordered a leased Model 3 LR (Highland). I currently pay for premium connectivity on my 2019 model 3, but wondering if the new car includes a free period of time before I need to start paying again. The lease company don't know, so do any of you knowledgeable people have any...

    Buying a used M3P

Be aware that the tyres will need replacing earlier. My 19 plate M3P last about 17k miles on the rear, about 20k on the front. And that's with a good amount of driving like Miss Daisy. Road noise is, I think higher. Also, the 20" wheels - avoid kerbs at all costs. I'm about to go from M3P...

    Highland test drives

I had a test drive today of a RWD Highland. Impressed. It feels more 'hushed' when the door is closed. A more solid feel all around, definately quieter, though not by huge amounts. The suspension is more compliant, steering felt lighter than my 2019 M3P, I would think it may feel slightly...

Tesla Key third party access on lease cars [Watch for Tesla app]

Yep, affects me too. I got this message when following the update instructions from ev.energy to enable the wall charger to talk to the Tesla. For a week or so, I got an error from Octopus app but that error has now gone and the car seems to be charging alright again. Looking in the Tesla...
