It's possible. Do you have an SA? You can always ask them to confirm the VIN and see what they say regarding insurance. I know it's different depending on where you live, but my SA told me I don't have to have insurance finalized until 60 days after I get the car.

Did you get the text/call to schedule delivery? If so, when? I got the text to schedule delivery 3 days before my VIN appeared on my source code.

I received my delivery appointment on 11/24 and my VIN appeared in source code on 11/27. It has yet to populate on my page. I think it's different for many people but I would say you could probably just use the one in the source. My SA confirmed that it was the VIN assigned to me.

If my experience thus far has any bearing it would be 3 weeks after a VIN appears in source. Been one week since I got mine and scheduled delivery prior to that for the 14th of Dec. Mind you, it has not populated on my page just. Still just in source.

I would 100% tell you that you should NOT make that trek and waste money on going to the orientation if it's that far. You would know everything they tell you by spending one hour on this board.

I would say the cheapest your car will be before taxes and such at this point will probably closer to 39,000. That's just a guess off the top of my head based on my config.

Not at all. I went to mine 2 weeks ago.

They're not treating orders based on date ordered, as you've probably noticed with people getting their VINs way earlier than some people that ordered in September. So it's quite possible that rfalias may be getting their order before those early October orders.

It's nothing you probably don't already know. Only use it as an excuse to ask someone any questions you have in person (but you can do that whenever you want.)
