    Chrome delete affecting insurance

I double checked with Churchill again this morning to see if they changed stance at all. Hi there! Hope you are well. We accept ceramic coating paint protection, but film protection is still a decline modification.

    Chrome delete affecting insurance

I ended up moving away from Churchill just because they wouldn't insure PPF. I asked multiple people and got a firm no. I did ask about chrome delete however and they was perfectly fine with that. I would've stayed with them if they would cover PPF.

Brake pedal groaning and pedal vibration with pin to drive enabled

With pin to drive enabled before you put the pin in when I press the brake pedal it groans quite loudly, and the pedal vibrates fairly strongly. I kind of figured it was normal since it goes away after the pin is entered but apparently other people don't experience this? My Model 3 was...

Volume on Tesla Model 3. Why no gradual rise?

I doubt it's going to damage your speakers but it would be nice to have a quick gradual fade in.

    Insurance UK

Site doesn't even seem to work for me in a couple of browsers. Looks like there's an error coming back from the server. Don't expect it to be great though since I do 12,000 - 15,000 miles a year. Edit: The underwriter is AXA as well, who won't cover me.

    Octopus making the switch ??

I left my FiT with the old supplier. It's unlikely to be worth using the Outgoing tariff since you lose out on deemed FiT exports but do your own calcs on that if you track your export. I think it's generally meant more for those that can't get the FiT. Go is likely the best way to go. Not sure...

    Insurance UK

I'm still struggling to find anything outside of the Direct Line group insurance wise on my M3P+. Under 30s insurance seems difficult to find. LV won't insure me due to not enough experience, and neither will Novo. Best quote outside of Direct Line brands is £4500 for a black box policy from...

    Model 3 performance insurance difficulties

It seems even regardless of modifications my only option is Churchill. £2500+ on new quotes Vs £6000+ for anyone else. What's going on with that??

    Model 3 performance insurance difficulties

I spoke with A plan today. They had a look to see what they can do but don't have any sensibly priced products for under 30 year olds (6600+). Apparently most of the usual insurers that they use for under 30 year olds with high performance cars either don't cover EVs, or they don't cover Tesla...

    Model 3 performance insurance difficulties

Yup trying to find a new insurance company. But having a hard time finding anything reasonable. It would be a shame to have to take off the PPF due to insurance red tape since I'm loving how much it protects the car.

    Model 3 performance insurance difficulties

Yes perhaps a bit naive to assume PPF wouldn't be an issue. I kind of figured it would just be one of those things that wouldn't be covered if I had a claim which I was okay with. I can understand from a repair costs point of view the issue with it, but not sure why they wouldn't cover cars with...

    Model 3 performance insurance difficulties

S I could kind of understand it if it was a full wrap but PPF is a bit different to a full wrap. Did Tesla ever even get the Thatcham rating done? I remember when I picked up my car hardly any insurers had the Model 3 and Thatcham stated Tesla hadn't submitted it for testing so it was the...

    Model 3 performance insurance difficulties

LV won't insure me unfortunately due to "not enough experience". Not sure exactly how much is required but apparently 3 years is not enough.

    Model 3 performance insurance difficulties

Getting insurance for the Model 3 seems to be incredibly difficult, and then if you want to have PPF on the car then it's even worse. Has anyone else found any decent insurers / brokers for less experienced drivers? I'm currently in a bit of a pickle. I got my M3P+ in August, and at the time...
