    [UK] 2021.36.x

Same here - this is the first time I’ve had an update so early, it’s not even listed on Teslafi yet.

    ENGIE Chargepoint

I’ve used this network a lot since they started the build-out and reliability has been excellent. Only once had a problem where I couldn’t initiate a charge via the website and their support talked me through linking an rfid credit card to my account so I could use that instead. Note that...

Ionity Charger Sites in UK [megathread]

The most recent comments on ZapMap say it's no longer free. I was there a few weeks ago when it was on free vend, but at 69p/KWh I won't be going back!

    Car won't wake from app

My Model 3 tunnels to a Spanish IP address and connects via O2/Telefonica

    Vibration / Buzzing Noise

I read somewhere that it's used during manufacture. Not sure if that's true but it does seem odd that they fit this and then it goes unused. Rear panel removal is very similar to the front - undo 2 bolts and, starting at the bottom, pull...

    Vibration / Buzzing Noise

Have the white clips come detached from the door? They should remain in the metal and only the black 'pin' portion should come off with the panel. If the white part's come away you can release it using a small-bladed screwdriver to pry apart the top where it clips over the black centre section...

Charge Your Car / Chargeplace Scotland iPhone App

I came to the same conclusion when I realised the App was a pile of crud and ordered an RFID card on 7th August. It still hasn't arrived, although it it's recently appeared in the account details so hopefully it's not too far away now. It was bloody-mindedness that made me battle with the App...

Charge Your Car / Chargeplace Scotland iPhone App

Just to save others from wasting a ton of time like I did... I recently created a CYC account and purchased an RFID card in preparation for a visit to Scotland. When it came to installing the iPhone app I simply couldn't get it to log in - every attempt was rejected with "your email or password...

    Vibration / Buzzing Noise

I would say it did match, yes. One door also had a very obvious ticking sound if I rocked it back-and-forth - that noise was coming from behind the catch and seemed to have been the aforementioned cable rattling when there was no tension or pressure on its inner core. Removing the door panels...

    Vibration / Buzzing Noise

There's a door-release cable in the rear doors - it's not connected to anything and just flaps around. They do stick some foam over the inner core to stop that rattling, but the other end that's connected to the door catch vibrates. I've fixed both rear doors on my car by removing the door...

    Any high mileage drivers?

That's for the battery - the car itself is 4 years / 50,000 miles - "Your vehicle is covered by a New Vehicle Limited Warranty for 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first."
  14. A

    Netherlands Netflix

Is this true for all UK models? I ask because my car always thinks it's in Spain - I get youtube.ES for example. Not sure if my car's an odd-one-out. It's never seemed to quite match up to what others on the forums describe - it was delivered in November but has no build date on the door pillar...

    Tesla Loan Car

My loaner from Leeds SC last week was a black Model 3. It too was locked in Chill Mode and looked like it had been cannibalised for parts - there were window switches and various bits of trim missing. The new Leeds supercharges (which are V3 apparently :) ) open on August 1st.

    Ionity reliability

There are 6 new Ionity chargers on the M1 south of Leeds. 3 of them pop up an error when you press 'Start', and one other failed to communicate with the car. They've only been in a few weeks but not a great start. Not that I'll be going there once they start charging 69p per KWh !

    Anyone not had 2020.24.6 yet

I'm driving an SR+ on loan from Tesla.... and that also is only on 2020.20.17. If they can't update their own fleet....

    Oh dear

Use "Service" in the app - last item in the menu - to book the car in.

    Octopus smart meter installation

I queried this with Octopus a while back and they said they can't show the applicable cost per KWh on Agile as they can't send updates to the In-House displays fast enough.

    2020.20.17

I used the app to report the 16A charging problem last week and had a call from an engineer shortly after. As well as saying they were aware of that problem, he also mentioned - without any prompting from me - that they also knew of sound/bluetooth problems and that an MCU reboot often fixes the...

    Creaking and rattling fascia

Funnily enough I mentioned the knock from the front suspension when I first took it back to the SC - I was told "it's normal"
  22. A

    Creaking and rattling fascia

I took mine to Leeds SC last year for a strange noise coming from the back; it turned out to be the toggle on the end of the charge door emergency release cord. Since then though the car's developed no end of other rattles, creaks and squeaks all over the place, as well as having windows that...

    Upgrade Options Disappeared?

I noticed this on my app a few days ago - alarmingly it says "You have all of the eligible upgrades". First thing I did was check the credit card account! My M3 is leased and it used to show FSD and the acceleration boost as available options. It lists Autopilot under "purchased" but not sure...

    TM3 Weak WiFi Signal

I suppose another possibility is that they've recently switched to different hardware that now supports channels above 11 in countries where that's allowed. My M3 was delivered in November 2019.
  25. A

    TM3 Weak WiFi Signal

This comment didn't ring true to me so I tried shifting the AP that covers my model 3 to channel 13 and it works just fine. WiFi chipsets are likely to be global, with software determining what channels they're allowed to use based on location. In my case the car will happily connect to channel...

    Model 3 scheduled/timed/smart charging

API = "Application Program Interface" - in this case it's a method of sending commands/settings to the car via a web service operated by Tesla.
  28. A

    Model 3 scheduled/timed/smart charging

I have an ohme charger that starts/stops according to the varying price and that uses the API to wake the car - it's been 100% reliable since it was installed.
  29. A

    Model 3 scheduled/timed/smart charging

You could use TeslaFi to schedule a wake-up, or if you don't mind messing with some simple coding you can call the Tesla API to achieve the same thing.

New Octopus Go tariff and off peak options?

I bought mine from SmartHomeCharge and they did a nice tidy job on the install.
  31. A

New Octopus Go tariff and off peak options?

Nothing preventing it from sleeping; TeslaFi confirms it sleeps and only wakes when the ohme commands the car via the API.
  32. A

New Octopus Go tariff and off peak options?

I have an ohme charger linked to Octopus Agile and it works great on my M3; it always wakes (sometimes several times a night if the cheapest half hours are separated) and I've never had a problem with it not pulling the full 32A

    Drivers side window gap

My driver's-side rear window had a gap between the glass and rubber so large I could get a finger in. It was like this from the day I collected the car and was letting in a hell of a lot of noise, not to mention water. Mobile service came out and improved things a little, but in the end I took...

    Camera condensation

After one of the recent updates my passenger side was forever giving the camera obscured error. Leeds SC had a look and it turned out to be a plastic film covering the B-Pillar that hadn't been removed prior to delivery. Since then it's been much better, if not quite 100%

Tesla ‘Roadie’ New Sentry Mode plug-in

Already done with a Raspberry Pi - works well... marcone/teslausb

Booking for fixes to minor panel alignment tomorrow - what to expect?

When I had mine in the Leeds SC last week they messaged a few days prior to say they'd need it for more than a day and to advise them if I needed a loaner.

New Octopus Go tariff and off peak options?

Sent (I think - wasn't sure how to DM on here so I've done it as a 'Profile Post', hope that's ok!)
  38. A

New Octopus Go tariff and off peak options?

SMETS2 in the South of the country still uses mobile cellular (Telefonica - O2), the North runs on a separate network operated by Arquiva.

Window slightly open in cold weather

@VanillaAir_UK Maybe try re-calibrating the windows? In cold weather they retract a few mm after closing (seems to happen below 5-ish degrees); maybe this retraction is slightly out of spec and triggering the 'window=open' threshold.
  41. A

Scheduling with Teslafi, Ohme smart cable or car

In addition to what @VanillaAir_UK said, there's also the fact that TeslaFi can't control the power from the control unit, so as soon as you plug in the charging cable the car will begin to charge, regardless of what charging schedules you configure in TeslaFi.
  42. A

Scheduling with Teslafi, Ohme smart cable or car

I have the Ohme unit and it works very well (touch wood!). I've had no problems with the charge current deviating from 32A and it's never failed to charge on schedule. The App uses your Tesla login details so I assume it's using API to wake the car before it applies the power.

    Glove Box Light Not Working

Back from the Leeds SC and I now have a working glovebox light :) In my case it was the lid switch that hadn't been connected.
  44. A

    Glove Box Light Not Working

My car is currently in Leeds SC and a non-functioning glovebox light was on my list. Just got a message that it's ready to collect so I'll know soon if it's fixed. Like you, I had a light in there but it never lit.
  45. A

Biometric authentication by phone as alt. option to PIN

At the moment it isn't used but there's talk of adding it to the Sentry recordings apparently.
  46. A

Biometric authentication by phone as alt. option to PIN

It's in the rear-view mirror housing (the part bonded to the windscreen).
  47. A

New Octopus Go tariff and off peak options?

Depends where in the country you are - there are 2 networks; Telefonica (O2) run the southern areas over their cellular network, and northern areas are on a purpose-built network operated by Arquiva.
  48. A

    Windshield Squirter

I should have mentioned that I did look at the Y Connector - all was ok. The car's in Leeds SC at the moment and it's on the list of things for them to look at.
  49. A

    Windshield Squirter

Mine's the opposite - only the passenger side seems to work and the driver's side is dry.
