    Elon Musk

Mind virus seems to be used kinda like the Dawkins concept of a meme. Idea that spreads, takes over. Wokeness can be thought of as an ideology of a portion of the extreme left that has "infected", to continue the virus analogy, increasingly large amounts of institutions, and a small, but vocal...

    Elon Musk

So enforce existing laws seems to be the solution, not this emergency powers stuff and seizing bank accounts. Think that is what Elon was reacting to, the choice to not use the normal accepted tools of liberal democracy, toward some things more associated w/ dictators.

Really disappointed to see elected officials like Lorena actively antagonizing Elon. Id guess that will seal the move out of CA.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Tesla essentially turned my P85 into a 60 by limiting the voltage. Same way they made those software limited versions that actually contained larger batteries. I paid for a P85, not a 60. Was working just fine until software upgrade, then poof, gone. If Tesla found they can no longer safely...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

False. Tesla applied a software cap to certain batteries, mine included , that limits charging to 4.1v instead of the normal 4.2v. 20 miles or so of range gone overnight w/ software update. This is the same method they used for software limited batteries. Everyone effected is quite mad, see the...

Was obviously talking about the customer's perspective. No need to quote me out of context. And even then, I dont think you would always be correct. A fully loaded P3D probably has better profit and margin than a similarly priced base S75.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Don't know why anyone would buy a S75 when they could get a longer range, more efficient, quicker, better handling, newest tech Model 3 for the same or less price. Model 3 is a better car for the money. Tesla/Elon arent afraid of stealing their own sales, and the Model S and X lines take up a...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Wondering if this is the beginnings of phasing out the S and X, perhaps to make room for the Y at Fremont. Earnings call will be interesting, looking forward to answers to some of this speculation. Clearly, eliminating the 75 S and X plus an entire production shift will reduce sales by a...

A good move. Previous general counsel was Elon's divorce lawyer, iirc. Glad to see Tesla finally get rid of him and replace w/ a more appropriate choice.

Lathrop was discussed more years ago when it first opened. They moved some stuff from Fremont to Lathrop to free up room at Fremont. Off the top of my head, aluminum casting was one of the processes that was moved, along w/ part storage.

Some California Superchargers not providing maximum charging rates

My guess from my 5 1/2+ yrs of Tesla ownership and extensive road tripping would be that your battery was indeed cold. Battery heating seems to be needed below 55 degree F, and 46 is signif below that. Will take more than 8 miles of driving to heat. Battery was probably heating while...

Seriously. I wonder why Tesla has such trouble promoting their good stories these days. A few years ago this would have been done properly w/ a press release and lots of coverage. Like the 5 part trilogy from years ago, that stuff was headlines for weeks.

Ive seen the Cramer video, thanks tho. However that wasn't my question. Usually the shorts post something that is actually happening, normal and ordinary and claim it is the end of Tesla. See the recent "discussion" about car carriers staging on Kato Rd, right by the factory, and delivery...

Interesting that Tesla chooses to do it this way. AEB seemed to perform as designed as you noted. 25mph reduction in speed, so the 31mph test probably collided at 6 mph. But the Teslas both avoided the crash completely with ACC on. Wonder why AEB is programmed that way, as the system appears...
