Hey guys! Do you know if the side skirts help protect the rocker panels? I don't want to PPF them but the rocker protection via a side skirt is an appealing idea. Cheaper, too, right?

Colored PPF is a thing. It's offered now in a few options. It's much more expensive but cheaper than the total labor of wrapping for color change and then wrapping again with PPF.

I get the frustration. It's happened to me. Completely senseless and very aggressive slowdown you aren't ready for. It's scary and dangerous for the drivers behind me. It makes me uncomfortable to use cruise control at all, which is really a bummer.

The whole thing looks pretty cool actually. But from the inside looking at it, I just noticed the areas of drag. From the front, it doesn't look quite as such but gives the car a nice unique and aggressive look from the front end. What do you think? I thought this would be easier than a wrap...

My family wants to delay the Y until Giga Texas is up because they are allegedly going to build them with double pane rear and the 2 piece chassis there. However, I highly doubt this would be something you can select. How could you choose to get your car only if it's made in Texas? Probably not...

Unsure, but drove a Performance 3 the other day and it bites pretty hard. I wonder what all this really boils down to. I am certain what I am imagining is not placebo but some kind of variable that someone has a real answer to.

That would be amazing if it had the dimmer. Darn. Yeah I wish the field of view was better but I use a blindspot mirror. Ideally, we had no mirrors and could use the cameras instead. Wish they would allow that already, the tech is ready but the laws are not.

Should be easy to test. Disable it and see if mirror gets darker at night or not. I think it does not but I could be wrong. I feel like I would have noted this when trying to see if it did anything for my side mirrors.

The test drive car at least slipped effortlessly. I didn't know that about track mode. Makes it slightly more tempting to get performance but unlikely I would. Every dual motor feels insanely planted. Really like it. Differences in regen matter but I think I answered my questions yesterday...

I see. Interesting! I thought track mode mostly disabled regen. This is mostly true, right? Or else battery heats up too much? I drove in track mode and regen was very soft.

So... Tried a few model 3's today and they all felt about the same and as they should. Maybe the other one I tried was off in some way, no way for me to tell but it was a big difference. Also no way I'll be getting standard range, the rear wheels slip way too easily on turns so I can't drive...
