Dikke pech binnen specs )

Can only set charge to max 93%?

That means 7% is currently locked due to cold. While charging it still charges to 100% (Probably first starts warming battery bedore charge) Where you put the dash in the slider, is correct in percentages.

Peak Charging Rate @ Superchargers - Model 3 Standard Range +

Depends on your battery, the made in China version with LFP has problems, 20-40kW peak is common. (Best case which is near impossible you average 40-60kW)

2021 Tesla Model 3 SR+ Cold Weather Range and Capacity Test

Updated for new screenshot. It’s nominal full pack 46 kWh.. That makes it 44 kWh useable at 100% or so

2021 Tesla Model 3 SR+ Cold Weather Range and Capacity Test

z I should have a screenshot somewhere here, will make a new one soon. But out top of my head, Nominal full pack: 46.9 to 47.1 kWh. Energy Buffer is 2.0 to 2.1 kWh. Cell imbalance starts off low with full charge but imbalance goes all the way up to 60-100mv the lower you get. I did attach...

14 Hours to cross 800Km with SR+...[complaint about range in winter]

Say what you want, it’s still a navigational error which could also have happened with the LR. If you miss your exit twice or three times, it’s slowing you down just as much. Put in a 2000km trip with the 2019 long range that has 19inch vs a 2019 SR+ Result will be the SR+ has more stops but...

2021 Tesla Model 3 SR+ Cold Weather Range and Capacity Test

Following this thread. Seems better the 2019 sr+ Because ours has only 45kWh useable at best. (Excluding the buffer) I also have ScanMyTesla. (338km of the 386 left, Tesla will speak to my lawyer. Never had the full pack to begin with)

14 Hours to cross 800Km with SR+...[complaint about range in winter]

To all people who are noobs: The SR+ is almost as fast as the LR on roadtrips. (Except for the chinese SR+ with LFP battery, which had alot of issues and charges very slow!) I have done multiple roadtrips 1000km+ within 11hours incl. Charging and was even going to drive 2700km in 2 days from NL...

    Model 3 Range decreased again...

With the LR model 3 only the standard range non-plus range is guaranteed in warranty. The warranty is bad imo. Also about Bjorn, do have a link to that video? I pretty much watch all but never seen that.
  10. M

    Model 3 Range decreased again...

Your post is misleading for me. Is the actual 100% range 280miles or 252..??
  11. M

    Model 3 Range decreased again...

I have the SR+ (paid for that at least) but highest ever rated range i saw was 229mi first week only. Went down instantly (pack learned new true capacity?)
  12. M

    Getting pissed with degredation

TeslaFi says that for the SR+ the average is -7.8% of the whole fleet at 15.500miles or 25.000km... That is alot if you adk me, totally way more then I expected ánd for me personally (-14%...!) really sad that Tesla just says that’s normal for a 3-2mo old car (yeah... bought the “cheaper” one...
  13. M

    Model 3 Range decreased again...

Change settings to “show charges 90% of higher” instead of 70%... Also: don’t include incomplete charges (for better stats). i have mine set at a 2.000km max deviation to compare. My SR+ is even worse or maybe similar, it’s at 208-211mi of the 240miles (or 250..) What’s interesting is that...
  14. M

    M3 SR+ 80% charge distance?

For me it’s 208/240micever since 1mo old (some days worse, average is 208)... Yeah it’s within specs as they say (100%.!!)
  15. M

Is my SR+ actually software locked as an SR?

Thanks man, you know your data. Well honestly it affects a round trip I make frequently. It’s kinda annoying. Love the car but it has frequent problem: can’t make my roundtrip because I effectively have 1-5% margin instead of returning with near 20% left. main tAke is Tesla first told me...

Is my SR+ actually software locked as an SR?

I have the same issue as you OP... Never got the 2019’s 386km... see here i am at 339km only... Seems like standards are lowered in factory for the sr+ Had three appointments and tried everything but they say within specs (first ghosted me alot!) we bought it new but never even had SR range...
  17. M

    Getting pissed with degredation

If you think yours is bad, they call this within spec.... our SR+ never was the + ScanMyTesla only confirms it. 45.x kWh of the 54.45 it should have. Was like this when we got it

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Sad to hear SR owners have a significant loss also. Maybe they used “failed but working” SR+ batteries...?? Like a lower treshhold to scrap a pack? I saw a 206/220(?) picture, I have 208mi but the SR+ (plus) Still not done and will try contacting Tesla higher up.

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Let me Rephrase that: I think it is very easy to determine also, but exact pack capacity is also secret when you ask them. In short: read exact warranty about it, it clearly states -only Tesla- can say/prove if they deem It -30% (also read other responds below) That’s exactly a part of the...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

They try to dodge the why, but it’s simple: “It’s classified” That’s what they eventually after 3(!) battery service visits told me (and indirectly also told me that I am At bottom of fleet) Now: Read your warranty about the -30% guaranteed, but only if Tesla determines it actually is -30%...

ABRP Battery Degradation Comparison Post / Poll

i have been letting the car rest at low and medium SoC’s for 10months. I assume that only increases useable capacity if it find out current battery capacity estimation is off. Remember: I made my 1st appointment in first month owning the car, then ar third month had forst SeC visit about it...
  22. M

ABRP Battery Degradation Comparison Post / Poll

most people that happens naturally at some point. Even when doing it actively we have a SR+ that started as a SR, but in reality is a SR- 208/240 rated miles, add charge only to 90% and we got 187 useable rated miles... Been like that since first month(!) “Within Tesla spec” they say.. Really...
  23. M

ABRP Battery Degradation Comparison Post / Poll

Even worse, they tell you it costs money to check. Even though for months on end I have less then SR range on my SR+
  24. M

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Commonly spread misconception. It’s not even close to that. A BMS is not blind, the current voltage when parked, driving and voltage “sag” combined with measured imbalance says more then enough. A tesla BMS, combined with known (current) cel voltage says alot about the real current useable...
  25. M

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

I feel bad for you also... I am also not famous and Tesla tells me -14% is within fleet specs...! Why am I talking about “famous”? Well, all the popular YouTubers for some reason don’t ever have issues or service seems to be great for them. I’ve visited multiple service centers, they all suck...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

ours is at 26.500km (but was -10% right away, -13.8% not much later..)
  27. M

ABRP Battery Degradation Comparison Post / Poll

50+ kWh is amazing... We have a SR+ that effectively never was + (more like minus) currently it’s 47.1kWh incl 2.1kWh buffer (100%) Well I am at 27.000km and at -13.8% so you are not worst on TeslaFi because I have TeslaFi also. ours is 208/240 at 100 or 187 at 90.... It has been so low for...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Can you link me to that thread? Curious to know how ABRP calculates degradation... if it soothes you, Our SR+ has about the same capacity “within specs “ they say.. (it’s 47.1 with buffer, hover around 44.9kWh useable because a 2.1kWh buffer)
  29. M

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Yes and... No Model S degradation is what I expected but that battery seems to do better. Also: it’s not the original battery but replaced 2-3 times. Still impressive third pack though, better then my own SR+ that is actually a SR- The average Teslafi degradation is 6.7% on my ODO (10mo old...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Thank you. As far as I know you are the first guy Tesla ever answered so specific. Also: Was the mid range advertised as 260miles or as 264?.. That might change the % loss compared to new for warranty. (It only changes the capacity loss on paper though, in practice is the same real loss either...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Did they put that capacity loss in writing? Willing to share an (anonymous ?) service .pdf? I only hear them dodge my questions and telling me actual capacity is Tesla secret (even though I have ScanMyTesla, of which they don’t know, that confirms our -13.8% loss in the SR+ model 3, which was...
  33. M

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

True... I think? It just feels weird... I do hope to ever get a proper pack. They didn’t even give me a chance to keep near “best” possible capacity if it was never there to begin with. Thing is they first try and ghost you bu telling “ohh just temporary “ or calibrate BMS, or drive from full...
  34. M

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Yes the SR+ people have more degradation but main reason is it has a way smaller buffer and less room before it shows capacity loss. Ours only has a 2.1kWh buffer. I have seen it be 2.2kWh also (but more on other people’s car) All the other reasons you listed are also at least partially true...
  35. M

Reduced Model 3 SR+ Max Charging Rate

it does allow the battery to get “heated” passively up to 45c though at least at some points. That is about 10c higher passive target then normal.
  36. M

Reduced Model 3 SR+ Max Charging Rate

Even with -13.8% on your SR+ you should get above 75kW. I have reached max charge speeds on regular v2’s last three weeks on long vacation trips. (And I have the worst m3 sr+ confirmed worldwide: 208/240mi rated left)
  37. M

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Well today I went in SeC for a huge dashboard rattle (second time!) this time they fixed it. At the take in, the Tesla mechanic asked me if I liked the car, I said yes except for the capacity loss and that Tesla couldn’t say anything about that last SeC visits, because it’s company secret the...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Sure. I have my own Tesla wall charger (11kW max) and charge to 80/90% and rarely supercharged. Normally it stays between 40-90% but we also tried numerous calibration methods for 8 of the 9 months we own it, nothing helped. In first month of owning the car I already planned a SeC visit about...

    Reduced Model 3 SR+ Rang

Same for me, got EU model delivered September 2019 it has 340-344km or 208-210miles... Tesla don’t do anything about it.. negative side between SuCs, nee charge longer to too high soc
  40. M

    Standard Range Plus Supercharging Speed

I have the ScanMyTesla tool, battery power and rear motor power is separately listed. I will try and confirm it next time I can. (out the top of my head, SuC power listed all power provided and ScanMyTesla tool + motor power combined added up to that, but I am not completely sure)

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

I feel you. It’s really sad and unfortunately everyone first assumes it is just you, can’t be true. It’s probably also a “factory” fault like I concluded my SR+ battery is. Some of the bricks are probably defect but not enough to trigger errors and warnings so you aren’t covered under warranty...
  42. M

    Standard Range Plus Supercharging Speed

Tesla changed to count all added and used energy. I believe it was also mentioned in a newsletter from Tesla directly? I know before they didn’t display and count all used kWh’s which means superchargers were cheaper before that change. I’m sure others know more about it (on mobile phone...

    Standard Range Plus Supercharging Speed

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

That simply doesn’t work if the capacity isn’t there! i’ve been told that and tried every recalibration things possible, it’s simply missing capacity since we got it and BMS estimates don’t drift alot. I have same issue, car is 9months old and I’ve been following and trying all...

    Batterij degradatie via Teslafi

Theory: People who baby their batteries experience more "degradation"

It’s only about battery lottery. Most people win and a few don’t (like me).
  47. M

    Batterij degradatie via Teslafi

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Even when it’s less stable (up to at least 86 mV imbalance I’ve manages to measure!) like our SR+ pack they are not going to do anything about the batterypack. simple answer: “within Tesla spec, no errors shown”
  49. M

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

My SR+ has been and is like that aswell it’s almost 9 months old or so and been way lower then others since we got it, i Have forced Tesla to look at it 2 times but in short “no errors fits the fleet, we don’t do anything about it” They even say and tell you capacity remaining is secret and I...

    2020 SR+ getting 402 KM

Interesting. You have seen them above 386km..? Which was the old max? We have a 9month old SR+ and it only has average 340km on 100%.... (ever since first month when we got it NEW) Tesla doesn’t give a *sugar* Because everything “works” and no error reports
