Damn, Elon's balls must taste great.

Yea, the word premium has multiple meanings. I am not saying that I paid a sum of money that puts the car in some kind of premium class. Part of what I paid for is future OTAs, this is the amount in excess of the car's value at the time of purchase. Do you not think you have paid for these...

    2020.12.5

Feel better? In your rant you missed sales associates, you know the people directly selling you the vehicle. As to your last sentence, I am just wondering, what kind of cost accounting and corporate budgeting experience do you have? Also, that isn't logical - if I am stating that future OTAs...

    2020.12.5

Your semantics aside, I think you need to rethink what you are reading. If the costs are built into the purchase price you are paying a premium for services yet to be delivered. And again, if I am sold a car with the promise of OTAs (used as selling point) I am entitled to them. I am not...

    2020.12.5

It is not entitled to want these OTAs when the company uses them as selling points. It is also foolish to think that future development costs aren’t baked into the purchase price. I sincerely doubt the company treats these costs as loss leaders.

All this talk about free upgrades like we didn’t pay a premium for this benefit.

Do you use pin to drive?

You can use valet mode and you can also remotely give some access to your car and the ability to drive it.

Does your glovebox look like this (M3)

Understood. But the fact that none of us see a glaring issue seems to indicate it’s really not a big deal. I love my M3 and it’s the most expensive car I’ve purchased. I’m sure if I tried hard enough I’d find a dozen or so things that aren’t perfect, but why waste my time and energy on that?
  9. J

Does your glovebox look like this (M3)

In one post you state it’s hard to see what the issue is and then to me you act like there is some obvious issue. Strange.
  10. J

Does your glovebox look like this (M3)

    Disagree.
  11. J

Does your glovebox look like this (M3)

I don't understand why so many people try to find imperfections in their cars. Just enjoy your car.
  12. J

    Snippiness 2.0

But why would I waste my time doing that?
  13. J

Charge Limit Issue (89% or 99%)

No, one percentage point doesn't matter. What matters is whether or not the battery % indicator is throwing up inaccurate figures.
  14. J

Charge Limit Issue (89% or 99%)

Same. Does it show as fully charged at 90 on the phone app but 89 in the car.
  15. J

    Snippiness 2.0

Well, your second post was factually incorrect. I stated such in my reply. This is for the disagree. But in all seriousness, you are likely an adult and shouldn’t care about strangers liking or not liking your online posts.
  16. J

    Snippiness 2.0

I am pretty sure my reply wasn’t to your post and you probably shouldn’t care that much about who disagrees with your posts - in this case it was fat fingered. Antibacterial soap, if used properly will rid your hands/body parts of a virus. And soap will help wash bacteria away - not necessarily...
  17. J

Charge Limit Issue (89% or 99%)

Mine is set to 90% but also only charges to 89% for some strange reason. The Tesla app tells me it’s been charged to 90%, but the car shows 89%.

    Snippiness 2.0

I would hope that at this point one wouldn’t need to work in public health or a medical setting to know these things.
  19. J

Don’t use hand sanitizer on your 15” screen

You have to be more specific. Antibacterial soap will work just as any other soap will work if used properly.
  20. J

Don’t use hand sanitizer on your 15” screen

But you can sanitize your hands before you get in your car and touch a bunch of stud.
  21. J

Don’t use hand sanitizer on your 15” screen

Because there is a national shortage on sanitizer and a reasonably intelligent person would worry about your hands BEFORE you enter your vehicle.

    Calm down.

Anyone buying Tesla Model Y in cash?

Hah. TMC actually censored my post.

Booster seat and Tesla don’t go together

A quick google search should provide an abundance of info.

These are made for fat people and are not safe to use with children.

    Trade in 3 for Y?

I was told that anyone looking at selling a 3 has to have a manual appraisal done. They couldn’t tell me why this had to be down for the 3 but not X or S
  27. J

    Trade in 3 for Y?

Model 3 isn’t an option at Carvana.
  28. J

    Trade in 3 for Y?

Probably not that much. Tesla got back to me quickly and offered a bit under $41k. A joke of an offer - almost insulting.
  29. J

    Trade in 3 for Y?

Love the 3, but we do have two young kids. My wife will eventually get the 3 when the Cybertruck comes. She isn’t a big fan of sedans as it’s far more difficult for her to get the kids in and out of the car. She is currently driving a VW Atlas.
  30. J

    Trade in 3 for Y?

They offered considerably more than anyone else when we traded-in for our M3. But thank you for the link!
  31. J

    Trade in 3 for Y?

We are thinking about trading in our December 2019 Model 3 LR (with all standard features) and getting a Y. Is there a way to see what Tesla would offer without initiating the purchase process? Has anyone done this? What kind of trade-in value are you getting?
  32. J

Anyone buying Tesla Model Y in cash?

Holy *sugar*, what did I just read. Is this supposed to be satirical?

    Refused Delivery MY

First three picks are very picky. It’s like you are deliberately looking to rid thugs that you find wrong. Last pic is a mess though.
  34. J

    Refused Delivery MY

    Great attitude.
  35. J

    What’s the return process like?

The only chat can’t really be trusted. They told me I could trade my car in before taking ownership of my M3 - we didn’t need it any I didn’t want to lose the aggressive trade-in value. When I called my local sales center they said this isn’t possible.

    Acceleration Boost option gone?

Lol do you not understand what the word “completely” means? Your own post shows that I am not wrong. Mind blowing.
  37. J

    Snippiness 2.0

    oh man, you got me.
  38. J

    Acceleration Boost option gone?

I truly don’t understand why the vast majority here don’t have a problem with being asked to pay for something they’ve already paid for. The ability for your car to accelerate faster is there. You paid for those motors. You paid for the battery pack. You paid for the software. Now you want to...
  39. J

    Acceleration Boost option gone?

    320. Alright, if you are willing to part with additional money given those circumstances, have at it. I find this practice to be unethical. If I purchase a product that has X capabilities I expect to get that. I don’t expect to have to continue to provide more money to get the most of something...
  40. J

    Acceleration Boost option gone?

Okay, so like I have said twice now, if we are going to be required to pay to unlock native capabilities it should meat have the stealth price and provide the same outcome.
  41. J

    Snippiness 2.0

It’s kind mind blowing that you are all okay with being nickel and dimed. Fanboying at it’s finest.
  42. J

    Acceleration Boost option gone?

Yes, they could have not blocked the performance from the get go.
  43. J

    Acceleration Boost option gone?

But that is part of the performance package cost.
  44. J

    Acceleration Boost option gone?

And the rest of the upgrades that came with the performance?
  45. J

    Acceleration Boost option gone?

Bug fixes are no different if you are using the logic of “this is what it came with” or this is what you paid for.” I have never had a car that fixed known glitches that didn’t impact safety. And like I’ve stated, there is additional hardware options with the performance. And, as already stated...
  46. J

    Acceleration Boost option gone?

If I was talking about stealths I would have stated such. It was not marketed as a performance until very recently. The hardware wasn’t the same, stop being purposefully dense. Or is it purposeful?
  47. J

    Acceleration Boost option gone?

And the rest of the parts?
  48. J

    Acceleration Boost option gone?

No. I said that a performance doesn’t have the same hardware as a LR AWD. Up u til a month or so ago this was true. Reading comprehension should t be this hard for adults. You act like the car will continuously be running at a significantly higher rate. What is the warranty cost delta then, genius?
  49. J

    Acceleration Boost option gone?

Yea, they also say I’ll have a range of 320+ miles. That won’t ever happen. And we aren’t talking about hardware we are talking about removing a software block. I “paid for” software bugs too and those are fixed at no cost to consumers. Would you be okay paying for bug fixes?
  50. J

    Acceleration Boost option gone?

I don’t recall saying a stealth didn’t have the same hardware as a LR AWD. Yea, how much more does more power impact warranty cost? You have figures or just making assumptions to justify your opinion? Wrong.
