Wait, I'm confused. When did Tesla announce this? Presumably, like Tesla did with the LR RWD Model 3 (which had a premium interior), the LR RWD Model Y should, too. The SR/SR+ Model 3 had Partial Premium. Tesla stated they are not making an SR/SR+ Model Y.

I'm confused on the idea of the colored glass vs. tint. Is there UV protection in the rear's colored glass? It seems the majority of users are saying they only tinted the front to "match" the back, but does the heat reduction match when you do this? If not, can you tint over the rear glass?

Yeah, that was my theory for my order as well. Somewhere in throwing a bunch of emails to every Tesla contact I had, someone may have made it eligable. Or someone finally recognized the error and is working through all of these types of orders...

The first post speculation LR RWD = SR+ with bigger battery pack. I replied that I hope that insinuation is wrong, for the sake of keeping the premium interior. Tesla has not before stripped the premium interior just for the sake of a drive-type change, so I'm not sure where they got that idea...

My issue with this is the main reason for my choice of a LR RWD Model Y versus an SR+ Model 3 was primarily the sound system. I'd be very unhappy if this is how they choose to release the LR RWD (without the premium interior).

I'm really hoping your prediction comes to fruition sometime late this quarter (August - September) , rather than next year. But knowing my luck, Musk will instead announce at Battery Day that the SR+ model is going into production and our LR RWD preorders will be rolled into these.
