Not outside the saving sessions, 31p in to 15p out. I am trying to set and forget a tariff, then just use export all during the saving session. If you have batteries large enough to last the day without solar then I can use the settings @PITA suggested, unless I am missing something 🤔

I tried this, and realised that it dumps all the solar to the grid during peak time. Sadly my battery needs some solar during the day to keep going until 11.30pm most of the year so I think I am back to a special rate for the saving session 🤷‍♂️

Out of interest, what tariff prices have you entered? Seems from others, you have to enter fictitious export rates to make it work.

I am guessing you don’t look at the Energy Value on the impact page much with those settings 😀 Maybe I could be weaned of looking at those as well…

I mean setting the export tariff to £4 during the savings session then setting it back to 15p after. Just setting Export Everything (from Solar) without changing the tariff didn’t result in any export. Strange that it works for some people but not others, nor sure what is making it work/not work.

Thanks for the info on PVWatts, hadn't seen that before sounds like a good resource for doing the ROI maths. Are you just using the 17000KWh figure and dividing it by 12 for the monthly usage or are you factoring in the higher usage in the winter when you have the least Solar?

Staying with Octopus Go would be easier as it is my current tariff. Did you compare the payback between a powerwall v other batteries (e.g. GivEnergy) when making your choice. If the Tesla Energy Plan isn't viable then the attraction of a powerwall goes down due to it's high cost?

Assume you are referring to the mirrors menu. I can find that OK, but how do you manually fold the mirrors from that menu? It allows you to adjust them, but not fold them?

I could have sworn there was a way to fold/unfold the wing mirrors manually before, now I cannot find it. Was it my imagination, if it wasn’t, anyone know where it has moved to? Didn’t see an obvious way from the Control - Mirrors menu, just a way to turn the auto fold on/off.

For the record I had the opposite problem today. The Ohme decided to default to charging just before 6.30 am again rather than using the “cheaper” afternoon electricity. So I overrode the default and forced it to charge this afternoon. Now Octopus published its prices and it is in fact cheaper...

As suspected, no negative charging rates tomorrow morning. Cheapest is tomorrow afternoon again. At least I know for next time

I am skeptical on the negative charging rate at that time of the morning. Not much sun and wind predicted. Guess we will not find out until after 4 pm when Octopus publish their half hourly costs whether they got it right. Will know for next time whether to trust it. Barry

You have to do a long press of the boot (trunk) of the fob to unlock the charger whilst standing beside the charging connector on the car. This stops charging and unlocks the charging port. Better than opening the app on the phone and getting in the car (IMHO)
