    Tinting the back window/sunroof

I did every piece of glass in my car. Didn't even consider doing only part of the back window. The installer I used had another customer's car in his shop that did that, so i had a chance to see how it looked. No way I was going to do it that way.`I didn't do the "sunroof" originally, but...

    New Price Model 3 SR+ $37,990 USD

I got my car in late December, so I also got to take the $1875 tax credit. At most, I'm only $125 behind, but I've been able to enjoy my car for 5 months.

How long does it take to say "Hey Siri, open frunk"?

    model 3 Key fob

Don't bother with the fob. It's a waste of money. My wife carries it in her purse so she can open the passenger door, but I could have programmed her phone and done the same thing for free. My iPhone never fails to unlock the car when I approach it. Never, not once, has it been a problem.

    Almost all firmware downloads stopped.

...or maybe, due to coronavirus restrictions, Tesla isn't working as hard on getting out updates. Just a thought.

What app do you use for an Apple Watch?

I've noticed there are some non-Tesla apps that have an Apple Watch app. Who uses one of these and which one do you use? I want to be able to open the frunk without having to use my phone.

Massive efficiency gain when following someone

The Tesla cruise control follow distance isn't based on distance, it is based on time. From the Model 3 owner's manual about the follow distance settings: Each setting corresponds to a time- based distance that represents how long it takes for Model 3, from its current location, to reach the...

Massive efficiency gain when following someone

They call it tailgating for a reason. It unsafe, especially at 82 mph! So, no thanks, I'll just leave an appropriate interval between myself and the next vehicle.

In Car Sentry viewer/Early access/Coming next update (pic)

Finally, Tesla has made dash cam and sentry useful programs. Being able to tap a button on the screen to see the sentry video that was recorded while you were in the grocery is a real game changer.

    Tesla Advice Appreciated

Does Tesla offer the same return policy in Ireland as they do in the US? 7 days or 1000 miles here. If they do, just take it back and tell them to deliver another car. When it arrives, take your time looking it over. When I got mine in December, it took me well over one hour to do my...

    12V Battery Replacement

I'm just curious, but what is the weight difference between the stock battery and the lithium replacements? The Ohmmu website says their battery only weighs 11 pounds.

Percent, because all my previous cars only had a percent range indication.

Grey Ghost, because it’s grey (midnight silver) and therefore difficult to see, like a ghost.

Top 3 and bottom 3 things about M3

How does one find the Supercharger Credits from Referrals?

How would unlocking range have an effect on the corona virus emergency? As far as I know, the other times that Tesla has unlocked range was for people evacuating due to the potential of a hurricane or similar. Corona Virus doesn't seem to me to be that sort of emergency.

Should I get a key fob

I have the fob. it's in my wife's purse. now she doesn't have to wait for me to get to the car to open her door. this could have just as easily been done by programming her phone. $150 wasted. only one time has my iPhone *not* unlocked the car before I pulled on the door handle. phone was...

Loud wind sounds at 55mph or more

I'm surprised no one has suggested this: Model 3 Noise Reduction Kit It's basically a rubber band that fits into the gaps around the middle section of roof glass over the driver and front passenger. I've seen claims of a 5 db reduction in interior noise. I didn't notice it so much, but my...

    Supercharger- Kokomo, IN

A Model X or S isn't going to go much above 150 kW in any case, is it? Only Model 3s will benefit from V3 charging according to the above linked video. There will need to be a change to Model X and S before they can take advantage of it.

How many of you still carry keys?

Precisely why the only key I do carry is the front door key. During a power outage the garage door opener didn't work and couldn't get in. Now I carry a key. Problem solved.

    Supercharger - Bloomington, IN

I would suggest that the numbers that indicate this is a Version 3 supercharger are the ones under "POST DC Output". There is shows "Output Power 250 kW", "Output Voltage Range 0-500v" and "Output Current 631A". Therefore, dividing 250 kW by 632 amps gives you a voltage of 396. That is within...
