I always thought this is true until I see this today: Based on Teslafi, someone installed 11.4.7.2 (2023.27.6) from 11.4.4 (2023.32.6). This is definitely a downgrade and I have no idea how this was done. I’d like to try 11.4.7 as well but I’m stuck on newer version :(

IMO the police won't have more information than the insurance company? So they will basically review the same evidence I submitted. So in terms of identifying responsibility does police have more advantage?

Thanks. I didn't file police report as the other party has been found. Just curious why police report is important. Can they prove I'm not at fault? (but I assume dashcam video can prove it), and if I have no evidence, then the police won't be able to prove anything either.

I have some updates from my adjuster. So Tesla insurance helped identify the other party's info based on license plate, and luckily they are insured. They sent me a full report which includes the other party's name, address, policy number etc. I filed a new claim with their insurance, and...

I took a closer look at it. They managed to separate the two seat parts, so now they have a ~1mm gap and no more chance of rubbing. Maybe they tried lubricant first and that didn’t work so they eventually tried this. And I assume this is the proper way to fix it :)

Update: So I presented this issue to a different SC. They acknowledged the problem and fixed it by "remove armrest panel and insulated". From what I can tell they did two things: 1. Added lubricant oil to the fake leather surface, and 2. Loosen the armrest therefore further separating the...

However.... Tesla now included "auto steer on city streets" & "drive itself almost anywhere" as standard feature of FSD capability :) So if you don't get FSD beta, it means you don't get FSD capability per Tesla's definition today.

My new Model Y 5 seater has this rattling / vibration noise upon delivery. It comes from where two seat parts contact each other, and it just sounds like leather rubbing against leather / cloth. If I set them to different recline level, or just lay one side down completely, the noise is gone...

I have this problem when taking delivery. Went to Fremont SC and they quickly verified it and says it's a known issue that needs some insulation. Mine got fixed within an hour.

Seems like you're in the new order process. I got mine delivered 7/30. FSD appeared on both of my order agreement & purchase agreement (and I have a $15500 'refer bonus'). They changed the process shortly after and I know now the agreement doesn't include FSD any more. Agree this shouldn't...

You do get FSD (which is with traffic light / stop sign control), but not FSD beta yet HW4 cars can't have FSD beta even if you paid full upfront fee, because software is not compatible

Surprisingly it's not 11.4.6 / 11.4.7 Seems like they just built a new version based on newer software & existing beta.

FWIW seems like hw4 cameras are more scratch resistant. The user manual hinted this. One good improvement :) hw3: do not wipe camera surface hw4: wipe with microfiber cloth

Yeah the most frustrating point might still be lack of FSD beta. But I already anticipated it even before I order, so not particularly angry here. Hopefully it will be enabled soon with 11.4.x

Yes but this is not a HW4 specific issue. HW3 cars without USS also don't have summon or smart summon AFAIK :( When I order my MY I had to sign an agreement stating that these features are temporarily unavailable.

I don't think the price changed much. As said, I was charged $1000 for rear bumper replacement at SC, and that was in 2019. I do believe $1677 for both is a good deal :)

PPSW paint is hard to touch up because of the pearl reflection. I tried Tesla's official touchup paint but it's totally useless (impossible to blend in). For scratches in the pic, I don't believe touchups can give decent result.

I think so. Both Fremont & Austin fully transitioned to HW4. But don't trust me because I never ordered from Austin :)

Personally I think FSD + new HW4 cars are much more future-proof than letting it stay with HW3 cars. That might be why most people in this thread are transferring it.
