chrome delete, powder coat the rims, tint, personalized plates, white dip the seat belts, smoke head lights, door puddle lights (and that would be my Y) - next for me is spacers
just got back from Glacier. Saw lots of Tesla's....I even saw one at Kintla Lake Campground with New Jersey plates -- which is pretty incredible and scary (to me). I was in a 4x4 F150 short bed (not my Y) and the road was super rough. There is so much unpredictabiility 15 miles from even a real...
Same..but mind happened the first week on my 20" Eagle F1. NTB said he wasn't fixable (ha!). I went to the local gas station that does lots of tires and he plugged it for free. Worked fine for year then started a slow pressure loss, so I just had it patched inside when I powder coated the rims...
thanks -- yes I've been using that pic as reference. I'll find out tomorrow why the rim guy was pushing matte....but I like the metallic look. I'm also going to to wrap the mirror in black. I assume they CP over?
anyone do white on Induction rims? I've scheduled it this week. $340 all in, same day. I've only found a few pics. Wheel guy is highly recommending matte vs glossy.
I'm planning to go powder coat matte white on my Y 20". I have the calibers white already, windows and headlights smoked and the badges removed or black. The wheel guy is highly suggesting matte vs gloss. Cost is $340 all in - same day service. (Dallas)
I had the Unplugged adjustable luxury coilovers installed on my Y. Original setting was middle of the road the way they shipped. Two months later I had them adjusted to as soft as possible (otherwise I didn't see much difference). Little bid of a bounce now, but better. I've been told more...
that's what I've been seeing on my couple of longer trips.....any wind and driving 85'ish I try and plan for 2 to 1 and then have a 20% buffer so I don't get so worried. Plus the charging gets really slow as you get to ~90%.
In my opinion yes...but it's not magical, but closer now to a Toyota Tacoma I rode in. As noted in other posts do you do the AB or the coils and which do you prioritize? I got the AB first (which to me was amazing and way worth it). The ride on some of the side streets in Dallas is so rough...
I have a early 2020 MY LR White/Black w/AB. Did bunches of adds, wraps. tint etc. I did just add the Unplugged coils and it makes a noticeable negative difference in launch. Should have thought about that, but the ride is certainly smoother.
Got the coils installed today (finally) comfort / luxury (Unplugged) . Ride much better like a real car...but the acceleration is much less pronounced...and I have the AB. Guess I should have thought about that, may take it to a more stiffer settings.
NTB and the like are vultures......I had a nail in my tire the first week. The tire places said you need to replace all 4 tires. Wut. I went to my local Texaco hood and they plugged it for free. No issues. I do think the air sensor needs a reset of sorts cause it's a little annoying when the...
saw in another thread a blue MY w/smoked headlights. They look good. I'm considering on my White Y. My auto guy says it does cut down on the light -- hence maybe illegal. Dumb question but does it also alter the auto sensor of the headlights coming on?
can't tell it's there unless you get really close to an edge. I have an early VIN white Y. I'd recommend at least the front 1/2. Apex in Dallas did mine. They're great. I'd recommend getting a place that has lots of experience.
I didn't get it back in March and happy I didn't. I barely use AP and I just did a TX to KS and back weekend trip. (Now cruise control is awesome.) That said it's relative to the value of money and cool factor. If I actually went anywhere summons would be cool'io and I got my cool factor with...
intersting...I just went over 4000, with the 20" tires...my max at 100% is 286 (I think). First time I charged to 100% this weekend (and first time I got under 30 miles left in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma - probably should put an accurate speed in the EVTO app). Waiting on 40.7.
it's all very relative. I just did a 1000 mile two trip and met lots of new Telsa friends at the Superchargers. They were doing some amazing trips. Speed and wind have a major impact on distance. Think 90 mph + 15+ winds and 10 miles becomes pretty meaningless. It's more about optimizing your...
99% precent won't understand any of it. It was very ad-hoc CA software startup ish.......that said I think it put other EV startups on notice that you better have a detailed plan otherwise your narrative is really super bad vaporware. I'm super happy with my Y and just watching the next three...
...and I think that's the point for me...w/o a longggg drive option that really needs lane change I don't see how it makes sense. Would like the be cool features, but doubt it'd get used more than twice a year.
took mine in March vin 27xx, in Dallas, No issues and there is no rebate / tax incentives anymore that I know of. Used the Tesla service to install Homelink. Love it.
agree 100%.....white with tint looks pretty dope - heck get a personal plate [ fill in here] I carry an extra charging cable and never use it. kind of like ICE battery cables.
