I was told on the phone by Tesla last week that my car is on the next boat due to arrive in UK with M3s. All boats docking before that have MYs. My current delivery estimate is 12th June - 27th June, so I'm assuming the boat is Morning Post. Could be BS, or if the boat is due to dock early May...

I had exactly the same this morning. Car confirmed on a boat and Tesla UK told me this is the next boat due to arrive with M3s. All other boats enroute only have Model Ys (according to the guy I was speaking to on the phone)

Don't get hung up on it, someone could cancel a car already sitting in stock today and you could have you delivery date by this afternoon. Equally it could still be sitting in pieces in Shanghai lol

When I ordered in Feb, the website said August delivery. I'm picking up today. (I know I'm extremely lucky compared to most on here). Again though, the long lead times shown before sale to tease people to buy from inventory?

Is the price increase purely to do with raw material costs, or is it being manipulated to drive people into buying the flock of demos in inventory or the performance models (I see their price is unchanged so presume they have excessive supply)?

Collection day!! Barely slept. I'm hoping the fact I'm collecting at a service centre (Belfast) rather than a mass delivery hub will make my experience a little better than those mentioned here. Not getting my hopes up though!

Exactly the same happened me. Picking up 16th March. I presume when it comes to actually paying for and driving away in the car, there will always be a certain percentage of people that walk away or defer. This frees up cars for some lucky folk like us at short notice :)

Fair point. I'm used pushing a button inside on my current car so hadn't considered that. I still personally don't think it's worth it for me though :)

I can't understand the need for a key fob TBH. You'll be walking up to the car with your phone in your pocket and it'll open automatically and move all seat, etc to your position. On the odd chance the phone is dead or whatever, wave the credit card sized 'key' at the door pillar and you're in...

So frustrating though. What's the logic? Why would I be getting the car before you? Maybe my car was destined for Belfast anyway and someone cancelled? I guess when the deposit is only £100, people will regularly be canceling which in turn frees up cars for other orders. Would love to know...

I'm same. Chose pickup time earlier, but nothing has changed on Tesla Account with regard to payment.

Do the Belfast cars come through Dublin or from the UK?

Yes I've never even sat in a M3 never mind been to a showroom, so trusting the good reviews from all you folk I'll call first thing. I'd be happy to wait longer for one if they would let me pick up from Dublin, but don't think that's an option either unfortunately.
