    Supercharger - Yakima, WA

I've stopped at this SC three times and have never had a problem using the restroom off the lobby of the Fairfield Inn.

Heat pump sounds AFTER holiday update

Have heard the same sound occasionally in my 2020 LRY. It seemingly has been after I adjust to go a few degrees cooler, e.g. heating to 71 and the adjusting back to 68. Upvote for the Darth Vader exhale comparison - captures the sound characteristic well.

    Owners Manual crashes Tesla's computer

I could reproduce this freeze for a good solid month in my LR Y...until approximately a week ago and now I have no problems bringing up and navigating the Owners Manual. I wish I could pin it to a particular incremental update as I have had a couple in that span. Had also obviously done the hard...

One pedal driving vs. "Standard" driving

My own experience: I set up one pedal driving before driving my Y off the Tesla lot one year ago. I recall having it pretty well dialed in within 2-3 days. Never going back. I drive our ICE vehicle at least every week and have never "forgotten" to drive the old way.

    Heat Pump sensor replacement

Just had my LR Model Y in for its first service appointment as the driver seat had developed a creaking noise with ordinary weight shifts. Once the appointment was scheduled, they added work on the bulletin to Replace Refrigerant P/T Sensors. The sensor part numbers used were: PT Sensor, Low...

    Navigation Issues/Questions

As for #2, I recall an Elon tweet from a couple months back in which he agreed that waypoints should be supported in nav. When/if we see it is another question. #3 is why ABetterRoutePlanner is so popular but I agree that this intelligence should be included in the on board trip planner.

    Camping in a Model Y

Darn, just made that decision a bit harder. The custom shape is appealing but the rectangular Duo Medium might be more practical for tent and other sleeping outside of the MY.

Tesla All Weather Mats Now Available

Just ordered the Tesla mats as well. Vin 10xxx so hopefully there's a good fit with the mounts.

Thanks for the image. That looks like a great fit. Which model of the Exped Megamat is that? Link?

What kind of Wh/mi are you guys getting?

I'm approximately 650 miles in on a LR AWD, split approximately 60 city/40 highway and am sitting at 239 Kwh. Stepping on the Go pedal here and there but using restraint for the most part. Weather has been mostly from the md-50's to 80's over the span so moderate use of A/C.

If I don't want wireless charging...

Interesting. My Y came with the part that includes the wire channels but you can't put the wireless charging pad over it. I also have a Pixel 2 and am wondering if the Model 3 pad will solve the problem.

Model Y Tesmanian interior & rear floor mat(s) review

I opted only for their rear trunk cargo mat, rear trunk well liner, and the frunk liner. I received them yesterday and are happy with the fitment and quality and their prices were reasonable. For the in-cabin floor mats I'm going to wait and see through the dry summer months for the Maxpider...

Phone charging cable - installation question

Agree that both capabilities would be ideal and is what the manual implies, just not going to be physically possible. Since I don't currently need the wireless charging capability, does anyone know for sure whether the M3 rubber pad part, which I assume is slimmer, will adequately allow the...

Phone charging cable - installation question

Have experienced the same issue. There's simply no room for both a passed through cable and the rubber charging mat. Almost seems like the solution is a thinner rubber mat both for aesthetics and function (hold the phone in place). Strange that they would equip the car this way AND include an...

Front License Plate for Model Y

Apologies, wasn't meaning to be unhelful. Was more just making commentary that this particular accessory category seems pricey. I'll keep editorial to myself forward.

Front License Plate for Model Y

The issue I'm having in my own analysis is the thought of dropping $120 simply to mount my front license plate. Not inclined to go with SnapPlate or Quick Bandit.

wireless phone charger/stand doesn't allow for cables

I discovered the same issue. You can feed the cable through the slots but the two tabs that fasten the wireless pad at the base cannot because the cable is occupying the same space. Can't say I see how this will work with this part.

Music and Cam files on same USB storage?

Ended up partitioning. Both functions appear to be working great.

Music and Cam files on same USB storage?

So...conflicting answers above. Is partioning required if you want to have music files on board as well? Anyone know definitively? Thanks in advance.

    Tesmanian Model Y Floor Mats

I think I may wait for more reviews on the fit of these floor mats. Also, there was a review of the trunk mat on Bearded Tesla on YouTube that seemed to show the fit being a bit long toward the hatch attach point. However, I think I will order the sub-trunk and frunk mats from Tesmanian as I...

Rattle from rear center seat, another video now too

This describes what I hear in my Y. Definitely not a rattle. I liken it to a plastic shopping bag when it vibrates a little. So I'm not certain I need a "barrier" fix inside the seat as alluded higher in the thread or if the issues is friction between two of the rear seats. Will have to play...

    PNW Delivery?

I received the text message asking me to schedule delivery the morning of Wednesday, May 27. I had checked the source code the prior evening so there had been no VIN match the day before. The afternoon of the 27th I contacted the service center and they suggested schedule delivery for Monday...

FSD: To Buy or Not to Buy--the $7000 question.

Tend to agree. Now, I would consider paying for automatic lane changes on AP, maybe $1-2K."Robotaxi" I still view as fantasy for the time I'll own this car plus I don't know how many buyers would actually contemplate sending out their car for srangers to ride in. I get the concept from a fleet...

A few questions on the UI

First of all, congratulations on taking delivery. There are short answers to your questions and I think I can answer some or most but I won't as a not yet owner. I would make two recommendations though: I learned a great deal from reading the Owner's Manual cover-to-cover. Search for...

    2020.12.11.1 rolling out...

Caveat: Don't have my MY yet so I'm only going off the numerous traffic control videos already posted but this is one of the most important considerations for me: Those traffic control "confirmations" are human and the timing is therefore going to be variable. If a given confirmation is issued...

Agree with this sentiment. 4.8s to 60 is going to be dramatically quicker than my current ride.

Stuck on "provide insurance" with no VIN

Probably not significant although we should see some of the Youtubers doing range comparisons over time. For me it's mostly hoping for a slightly less firm ride.

Stuck on "provide insurance" with no VIN

It is a big club. I've been at "drafting your contract" since around March 17. Ordered LR AWD MSM w/Geminis and haven't been tempted to call to switch to the 20's - as I'm wanting to max out on range. I've also been driving a firm suspension on 20" wheels on an Infiniti FX35 for 16 years so...
