All superchargers in Korea were free up until the end of October. They went paid across the country on October 26th (a firmware update was even sent to Korean Teslas).

To make sure it gets done right—and if you don’t mind doing it yourself, look into Wash Zone. It is a self-serve car wash chain. You can bring your own materials, though they also sell stuff there and you can also just choose to use the basic shampoo that is in each of their wash bays.

If your apt. management allows you to use it, it should work. The charging cable you need is provided when you purchase a Tesla. Not sure of the exact charging time—I’ve only charged with a wall charger once and I just left it overnight. I’m going to guess it is at least ten (or more) hours...

Where from and how much? I thought about getting one because we do have a Chademo charger in our parking garage, but so far it hasn’t seemed necessary when traveling. I’m sure eventually it will start to feel limiting though so if like to get one eventually.

That seems ridiculously cheap. We’ve only charged once in our parking garage (we’re a block away from a supercharger) but we paid about ₩4,000 to charge it about 40%. Still cheap, but not as cheap as you describe.

At least for now, supercharging is still free (I am in my car charging as I write). My wife tells me the rumor is that it will go paid by the end of the year. According to the numbers she saw, it will cost about double what it costs to charge at a slow charger.

What is everyone using to wash their Model 3s here in Korea? Any recommended products that are readily available? I had mine ceramic coated so I plan on going to a Wash Zone to hand wash, but I need to gather the right materials before I go, and all the products I know of are from the US...

Yeah—We went over to the east coast this week and it was a challenge. The worst part is that it doesn’t show lanes so we ended up missing turns a number of times as we couldn’t get over in time. Hopefully that gets an update. Tesla supercharging was great, on the other hand. I didn’t realize...

The told us during our pickup inspection that any imperfection that couldn’t be seen from a meter away or something would not be covered. They also played extremely loud music in the parking garage while everyone was inspecting their Tesla’s which, according to my wife and what other Korean...

A new Tesla Model 3 is now in my possession—my first new car ever and first car of any kind since my last car purchase broke down after just two weeks and I basically up and moved to Korea. I had the harrowing experience of driving my new Tesla out of a parking garage jam-packed with other new...

Ok, thanks. That likely means mine will be the same so I won’t cancel my wireless charger order. Model 3s manufactured after the beginning of June apparently have the upgrades, so if by chance mine did make the cut, I will have an extra wireless charger on my hands. Hope you’re having a good...

Question: Did your Model 3 come equipped with USB C and a wireless phone charger? I ordered an after market wireless charger from overseas but I just read that new Model 3s already have one installed. Don’t want to waste the money if I don’t have to.

Even most visas won’t make you eligible for the incentive—only F4 or F5 I believe. I am under a marriage visa and couldn’t get it myself so we were forced to put the car under my wife’s name, even though she can’t drive it. That then required that she be insured so we are paying for insurance...

I opted to install a Jeda USB hub—which adds a few more USB ports and a little compartment to mount a SSD or flash drive. I am going to put a 500 gb ssd inside, which will still leave me with four USB ports. I’ll probably partition the drive and use it for both music and Sentry footage, at...

Here is the image of the charger in our parking garage—it didn’t attach on the last one.

We must be in the same batch. We got the call last week that our Model 3 would arrive in Korea in June. There were several possible delivery dates, but as my wife and I debated when we should pick it up during the call with our contact person, the other delivery dates dried up and we were stuck...

    Audio Input Options

Thanks for the reply—that’s what I figured based on what I’ve read but I wasn’t sure. I guess I’ll have to settle for just transferring the contents of my hi-def audio player over to a USB stick and using the Model 3 itself as the hi-def audio player. Most likely I will end up just using Apple...

    Audio Input Options

Our Model 3 is arriving here in Korea in late June. One of the things I am most looking forward to is being able to drive around listening to music (it has been over thirteen years since I’ve owned a car). I’ve got an iPhone with Apple Music, so I’ll be able to play over Bluetooth that way, but...
