Will swimming pool chlorine ruin black seats?

Neutrogena 45 spf definitely does it. Unfortunately, Tesla is not interested in the problem. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004D2DR0Q

    Steering wheel leather FAIL

Sunscreen and other cosmetics cause the synthetic leather to bubble up, but Tesla refuses to fix it under warranty. Neutrogena sunscreen is just about as gentle on the skin as you can get, but it will destroy a Model Y interior. After one seat cover replacement lasted only a few months, I...

    Bubbled interior

The bad thing is, Tesla won't fix this under warranty even though it's a widespread problem. I now use black Gorilla duct tape in my $70,000 car's seat, console, and door panel.

Will swimming pool chlorine ruin black seats?

Some sunscreen, will do a lot more than stain the vegan leather. It causes it melt or bubble up in warm weather, and Tesla won't fix it under warranty.

    Bubbled interior

Neutrogena sunscreen is gentle on the skin, but will destroy a Tesla interior. Tesla uses some kind of artificial leather that deteriorates with some sunscreen and cosmetics in warm weather.

    Driver Seat Bubbling

I had my driver seat cover replaced under warranty, only to bubble up again within a few months. The second time they refused to fix it under warranty, even though it's obviously defective material. It happens when I use sunscreen in the summer. Other cosmetics also ruin the seat covers and...

How do I stop this unintended acceleration?

Thanks, it was already set on current speed.

How do I stop this unintended acceleration?

I understand it was initiated by my double click and I'll handle it. However, there are some weirdities. 1. My car should not have kept going into the other car (and I believe it would have). 2. I have initiated autosteer on interstates a few times in similar situations (stop-and-go traffic)...

How do I stop this unintended acceleration?

Thanks! I'll look into that. Regarding the double press, from a stop, if I press the brakes and then the drive lever without a long enough pause in between, it won't do anything. Then I have to hit the drive lever again. That's where the double-press habit comes from. I hope I'm trainable!

PROS/CONS - what makes you love your Tesla?

Autopilot works pretty good without the self-driving beta for lane-keeping. It can get unpredictable in construction zones. Cruise control is OK if you configure it to go to the current speed instead of the default speed limit (which is not possible in the self-driving beta). Auto headlights...

PROS/CONS - what makes you love your Tesla?

Model Y pros and cons (in my opinion). The pros outweigh the cons, for me. (Mine is an early model, and some of these may have been fixed.) 1. + Charging at home is great, much better for everyday use. 2. + Great acceleration and handling 3. + Auto Steer works better than other cars 4. + Car...

How do I stop this unintended acceleration?

I was visiting the Arby's drive-thru today in Pryor, Oklahoma. It's located next to hwy 69, which has a 35 mph speed limit. I had either the autopilot (non-beta) or cruise control on before I pulled in. I stopped to order, then I stopped and had to wait a bit on my food. I had the car in park...

Blog Tesla’s Full Self-Driving Software Deployed to ‘Careful Drivers’

They said "expert and careful" drivers. I cannot figure out where my update is.

Tesla wall connector gen3 overheating fix

The overheating occurs for some reason, possibly a design problem. The firmware update does not fix the overheating problem, but lowers the charge rate from 48 to 24 amps when the unit overheats instead of stopping the charging altogether. That way the car eventually gets charged, but at half...

    Bluetooth issue

This sounds crazy, but try replacing the USB drive for the dashcam with a slower one, USB 2.0 only if possible. That was Tesla's recommendation to stop intermittent system crashes, which usually started out with bluetooth static.
