Actually it turns out this was some kind of weird state that just needed a reset by the support folks, they reset the motor control system or something along those lines and now it feels almost like my model 3 did. problem solved!

Yes, as I mentioned in the post it is not chill. The options are standard and chill I think on the Model Y and Model 3 non performance versions. Any way the settings are identical to the Model 3.

Just to clarify one more thing, this is with an AWD non performance Model Y. By the way, how do I verify that both motors are actually enabled ? Is it possible that some screw up in the manufacturing could have left one motor disabled ?

Picked up my Model Y with tow hitch yesterday from Fremont factory. Ordered in March, got VIN this week. Delivery yesterday. The hitch is preinstalled. See photo.
