The main issue you'll face is that if that AP unit hasn't been installed in a car for over 3months, the certs in it will be invalid and you'll not be able to use it anyway. The units aren't too pricey from Tesla and you can install it yourself and then log the service call for them to correct...

I can confirm from my own experience that most service centres are well aware of the retrofit of the filling valve and have onsite nitrogen for this. But you have to request it and there is a small charge for it. It's well worth doing though and I've added it to my list of things to ask for...

It would be worth asking Tesla, but some service centres are more helpful than others. The config change is simple enough and they would just barge 30-60mins labour for it.

You'd need the floor piece to cover it and then Tesla service or after market to change the config using the Tesla diagnostic tool so the config is consistent for future updates.

Has anyone bought an hour of ToolBox 3 access and recalibrated their own radar? Is it a really quick procedure as I'd like to try it on mine before buying a new unit? I seemingly only get about 12months out of them before they fail again 😥

If you unlug the front radar, or a parking sensor, on a car that came equipped with them from the factory, you'll find that all DAS is disabled.

It might be worth checking out other cars where you can get adapter kits and see if a manufacturer of them would be interested. The L322 range rover had some I believe and the Semi Skimmed one.

I'd get the soapy water test on the go with the front air springs asap. If one is leaking the compressor is working harder for longer and getting hot very often. This will lead to it also failing not long after the strut is replaced. I know this from experience.

No issues at long for ling trips. The beep and warnings can be closed on a reen and just reappear on restart.

One thing I found with the control arms is that it's not always the ball and socket joint that squeeks. Try an Anti Friction spray grease into the two rubber bush areas are the other end of the arm. This helped mine and lasts until a good few days of rain washes it out.

Does that include the aw shoes as well? Is it per chance off a crash damaged vehicle? You may find the included sensors need to be removed as the AP1 sensors fitted to your X will use different connectors to the ones on the 22-23 model.
