Got mine last week. Only had passenger side doors slightly misaligned that is rubbing on each other. Have service setup for next week to fix. We went through one of the online check lists and was very happy with our car.

Mine disappeared last week and just reappeared today. Car isn’t arriving at service center till 7/25(was originally 7/21). Pick up is still 7/27. So 75% chance it doesn’t show up on time.

You can try the chat. I went there first and they told me the vin was still assigned. I emailed the delivery specialist to confirm. They were the only ones who were able to figure out I was assigned a ghost vin 6 weeks ago. I’d still be waiting otherwise!

Mine disappeared this morning also. Spoke to my delivery specialist who said the same vin is still assigned and no issues. Should be getting a call when they receive it.

Updated price posted to my account after a couple hours.

Received text to schedule pickup today for 7/27. Also was able to chat with someone online who put in a request to adjust the 3k in price. Said it should take about 24 hours to show online.

Told by adviser car is in transit to Rockville,Maryland service center scheduled to arrive on 7/21

Ordered 1/30 MSM white interior. Had ghost vin assigned end of May and removed June for reassignment. Just had new VIN pop up today.

Makes sense. I was quoted 6-8 weeks (September) time frame. Ordered 1/30

We are being told it’s going to be September for us. The local service center here called me yesterday to offer 4 unmatched model Y’s, but all were black interior and we wanted white. I said I’d wait given the build quality issues.

Pre-production means the car isn’t made yet and hasn’t started production. I was told mine was in pre-production for a month until I was told I had received a ghost vin. Had to get unassigned and wait for a new one. Hopefully it is not your case.

Good luck! Hopefully you’re not in the same situation as us. I didn’t see anyone. Who had this issue yet, so wanted to share this. When I asked why this happened my SA said it was probably from COVID and the factory being shut down.

That’s what we were told also. I think normally it’s how it works. The guy at the delivery center told me he had worked there for 4 years and only saw this happen 2 other times. Was frustrating for us since we sold our car given the June time frame (Sold to caravanna. Paid 1k more than tesla)...

It’s worth asking the SA. I asked my SA and Tesla chat for updates and kept being told the same thing. When I spoke on the phone with someone from the delivery center he was able to figure it out since the car was still not built after 4 weeks. My SA did text me back and offer a white exterior...

I reached out to my sales adviser today who said there are no vins to be assigned right now and my expected timeline is September.

Nothing in the tesla app. Hopefully no one else has the same issue, but if you have a vin and never get scheduled for delivery you may know why.

Yup. I kept getting the same answer from the SA and tesla chat. Luckily the delivery center guy was able to figure it out. I would have never gotten my car.

Ordered 1/31 MSM, white interior, 19 in wheels. Received VIN in source code 5 weeks ago. Received text to confirm if trade in 4 weeks ago. Spoke with my assigned SA who confirmed VIN and was told car is in pre-production and not built yet. Emailed 2 weeks later and told the same answer...
