Model 3 - Broken Power Window Switch Button

I had wondered the same thing. They seem pretty easy to pop out, but they're not symmetrical, so you'd have to replace a front passenger-side button with another front passenger side button if that makes sense.

Model 3 - Broken Power Window Switch Button

As promised, since I couldn't find one, I made a YouTube video about how to replace the switch assembly. Here it is:

Model 3 - Broken Power Window Switch Button

So, it turns out Tesla mobile service comes to a city near me every thursday (25 minute drive from my house). They are going to drop the part off to me on their next run for a mere $39. The guy on the phone was really helpful and accommodating. From there, I'll figure out how to swap it out, and...

Model 3 - Broken Power Window Switch Button

I tried to schedule a service appointment in my app, and it said something about needing to take it in due to mobile service being unavailable to me. I'm pretty used to that sort of thing. I live in a *very* small town. Mail takes an extra day, etc. I'll keep you posted on the window fix...

Model 3 - Broken Power Window Switch Button

Mobile service isn't available in my area, alas. I've found a few switch assemblies on eBay, and I've decided to wait for the official estimate in my app. If it seems terribly high, I'll order an assembly, and pull the door panel. I haven't managed to find any sort of pictures or YouTube videos...

Model 3 - Broken Power Window Switch Button

So, this just happened to me, too. I'm about 2,000 miles past my bumper to bumper warranty, and my closest service center (2.5 hours away) tells me there will be a diagnostic fee of $175 before any labor or parts charges. Seems *really* steep for a piece of broken plastic. I'm pretty handy, so...

Another 3 SR+ vs LR AWD thread with a twist

I agree. Get the LR. I have a 2018 LR RWD, and I *love* the freedom and peace of mind that the LR battery represents. I'll upgrade to AP after I pay it off, but the range is there now.

    Hello from Rural southwestern Utah

Just purchased a used 2018 Midnight Silver Model 3 LR RWD. I've been working toward this for quite a while, and it's amazing to be able to go drive it! Thanks for all the information here!

    Mashing the accelerator, a lot...

M3, LR, RWD. For some reason, having all of that torque behind me makes me drive pretty conservatively. I guess knowing what my car can do makes me feel like I’ve got nothin’ to prove.

Advice please. WTB Model 3 SR+ for 30K

This is great info. Thank you for taking the time! clark_kent: Am I correct that all branded titles are barred from the supercharger network? I think I probably will just end up saving longer. Good advice. CapeOne: I didn't know about the destination/doc fee. Do those also apply to "current...

Advice please. WTB Model 3 SR+ for 30K

Hi everyone, Yes, this is my first post, so I recognize that I might be inviting a mountain of scorn for asking this question, but I've exhausted googled resources, and I need to improve my understanding. Also, I *think* this is the most appropriate forum for this question, but I could be...
