Yep I've dug into that quite a bit. It's just that the cheapest batteries are the ones with one bad module or some other damage of some kind. Always looking for ways to build the largest battery with the smallest budget.

Do you have any experience with the LFP modules? I'm curious if they can be broken down into 48v or smaller modules.

Maybe there's a slight possibility that Tesla is denying these repairs because they know that something bigger is coming from the NHTSA recall and they don't want to be replacing something they just repaired a few weeks before. Wishful thinking I suppose.

You can replace the screen yourself. There are several threads around here about it. Replacing instrument cluster I just ordered a screen from Ali Express for $126.
