What is the consensus on using the pump in Tesla’s kit just for air top-offs? It looks like it has an analog pressure gauge. I’m wondering if a model with a digital readout that allows presetting the target tire pressure would be better?

Picked my MSM long range yesterday. No red calipers, and I haven’t even tried taking the wheel covers off yet, but I absolutely love it. The pictures in Tesla’s color chooser do not do it justice.

I’m holding out to see if the Taptes rear seat mat really has better coverage under the front seats than the 3Dmaxpiders. I may mix and match with something different for the cargo areas though.

I have Tesla-arranged financing from US Bank. Does anyone have experience getting GAP insurance in that scenario? My auto insurance company (State Farm) doesn’t appear to offer it unless the loan is through their lending arm. Any suggestions?

When I got the text to schedule delivery, the two dates offered were 10/31 and 11/2, so that second one would qualify as the first week of November. Maybe you’ll get a similar choice.

I saw my VIN on the 17th. I got a text to schedule delivery today. Looks like it will be on 10/31.

One more question on this: since I am asking about the possibility of a lower rate, I haven’t accepted the initial offer I got of 2.49% with US Bank. I assumed I shouldn’t accept one until I knew if I could get a lower rate offer. Is that correct?

For everyone that has the 3D Maxpider mats, how satisfied are you with the rear seat floor mat? From all the pictures, I’m concerned that it doesn’t extend under the front seats enough for both protection and also comfort if one’s feet are sitting on that forward ridge. I’m really interested...

I called the service center today, and they said it might be around the 30th. I don’t have anything specific scheduled at this point. He did say the car is built though. I didn’t think to ask what the actual build date was.

Do the Gemini wheel caps and lug caps have to be removed to put the wheel covers back on? If so, how difficult is it to remove the wheel cap? I’m thinking I’d like to remove the covers for daily driving, but maybe put them back on for long trips.

I’m having the same feeling. In my case, someone ordered the exact same configuration as me (with the exception of FSD), for delivery at the same location, a week later than me, but already has a VIN. I don’t begrudge that lucky person, but I do wonder why I wasn’t so lucky.

My order is currently set to pay with cash, because I was concerned about the credit auth expiring if delivery went beyond 9 weeks. It shows all steps completed. I planned to change to a Tesla provided loan when I got a VIN. I wonder if it would really make a difference to apply for the loan now...

I was told this morning that the 5-9 week estimate on my order was accurate. When I mentioned November for when I might see a VIN, they said no and that the entire fourth quarter would be for overseas production and it might not be until January that I get a car. I’m not sure how both 5-9 weeks...

Thanks. Apparently the refit union will do one last soft pull before closing on Friday. I assume just doing the $100 Tesla order would not do anything that would show up on that, correct? My credit score is excellent, but this credit union seems fairly conservative.
